Belle Vue to Xscape (Cas' mythical stadium) - 7.4 miles.

What's 1.2 miles between cousins!

P.S - I'm only playing devils advocate! I've always felt it would be better for wakey, and Cas, if they were to move in the opposite direction to NM.

If Glover has any sense (and he does), he'll be trying to buy the ground back at today's prices and convert it into housing at tomorrow's. As you say, he won't be investing in it by way of building amenities if he's planning on upping sticks to Dewsbury next season.

I meant to make a point about mergers and groundsharing and how some people were dead against Glasshoughton, but open to one at Dewsbury, but just seen that a bit of the text was missing; sorry!

Dewsburys ground is just about in Wakefield anyway plus it's only until Newmarket is ready

The land at BV will not sell at present. Also if you look further into it the land is actually owned by the Irish Government who have sequestered all the property deals that the BOI completed. Also we now have the Irish economy being downgraded on it's credit rating, placing it virtually in default like Greece.Therefore just like Monopoly when you can't pay the debts you have to sell your assets at a reduced default value.
So BV could be on the market very soon at a fraction of the costs that the agents are touting it for.

Where is the stadium at Xscape ?

Can see quite a lot falling out with AG already if this were to happen.

If we get the chop from SL I can a large proportion of our fan base leaving for that reason alone.
The few that remain will be the really hardcore supporters and most will still probably watch the team whereever it plays.

Wrencat. I'm quite aware that there's no stadium at Xscape (if you take the time to read my post again you'll see that I put mythical stadium) the point I was trying to make, badly I'll admit! Is that many people were dead against a groundshare at Xscape due to it being in castleford and not in Wakey. Yet some feel that a groundshare with dewsbury is acceptable, presumabley as they feel that Wakey would have nothing to fear from dewsbury.

Thanks, but that doesn't account for your not reading the post properly. We all have our faults and make mistakes.

Because the idea of playing in Cas is unthinkable and the idea of playing in Dewsbury is slightly better than unthinkable.
