He doesn't actually confirm he's leaving the club. Only that he hasn't got a contract for next season yet.

With Smoothy coming in and the club actively looking in the NRL it's unlikely he will be offered one.

Think Powell as made a big mistake not playing him a lot more, there is no way Russell ,Scott ,would have got any way near the try line .Think it showed how important speed is  on the wing .26 years old just coming in to is prime.Hope we got a out and out winger lined up for next season Not a guy who who can play winger , second row .Got to admit i like watching him .He as got  the x factor he is not perfect , but one mistake and it gets blown out of all proportion bit like Lino ,were we would have been in the brown stuff this season with out him

I agree I'd rather have seen him on the wing over Scott, but then Russell will score tries Walmsley wouldn't be able to. If he wasn't quota he'd probably be staying, but he is and he's not.

I’ll be surprised if I see Walmsley, Atoni and Lino at Wakey next year personally.

Walmsley yes, Atoni probably, Lino not so sure. We’d have to be bringing in a top halfback to partner Trueman - a Lam, Croft, or Hastings - otherwise I don’t think there’s much sense in moving Lino on. He’s probably about the the 15th best half in super league.

If Lino and Trueman can continue to develop their on-field partnership and produce more performances like we saw yesterday, then I would be happy to offer him another year at least. I admit he has been very hit and miss since he arrived but if the two of them can continue to work off each other then we may yet see the best version of him ???

Consistency is key to everything isn’t it. Lino isn’t consistent enough to get us to being a consistent top 6 team on showing from previous years.  I’ve got nothing against him, I think he is a talented player but is rocks and diamonds. He was excellent yesterday, no doubt. If he kept to that standard anyone would love to keep. 


Obviously he’s had a really disjointed spine this year and seeing him and Trueman yesterday rip Cas apart was lovely to watch. We are certainly in the market for NRL players, it’ll be interesting to see whether Powell and Mills sees Lino as our 7 next year.
