What are you talking about, I support therefore I do care about all the players even those I personally don’t think add much to the team. I unlike someone would not criticise say Tanginoa and also claim they are not a second row. I seem to remember that you also thought the deal with Castleford to swap Paul McShane was good business.
I am sure you must also be frustrated with the team because their performances stop you from going onto other sites to gloat after a win which many would just consider embarrassing. I wonder how many you have stopped from posting on this site by your continuous tirade of insults if they don’t follow your code and no I am not making this political (that was one of your best).

I don't think he's alone on that thought. I doubt we'd still be in existence had we not jettisoned those few players who were not up for the fight.

Quite right.
Scott Moore was very good for us at that time. Pity what followed though.
What is it with these posters, you don't hear from most of them until things go wrong.

| Yep, was the correct call at the time moving on a player with no heart for the fight for one that played a big part in saving us.
There is absolutely no question whatsoever that McShane is a far better player and is still now playing out of his skin for Cas...a superb rl player...it comes down to the want though and he didn’t want it for us unfortunately...

Highlights an argument I often have with fans who I don’t think ‘understand’ the game.
Some players will be great no matter where they play, Gareth Ellis for example. However they are in a very small minority.
Most players like it or not belong to certain clubs or at least certain types.
For any coach in charge at Wakefield it’s a very important thing to know. There is simply no room for the prima Donna ego. You can be egotistical but it needs to be of the stuff you variety.
These players I’m afraid will never win us trophies but they will keep us up and until we can accommodate enough of the entitled players that will never change.
McShane feels that he should be winning things. Well he’s not quite good enough to guarantee himself a spot at a true top club. Cas however do offer the next best thing, they at least always look like they might win something even if they rarely do.
It’s not just about money, if only it were. Players don’t come from a test tube, they are shock horror real people. Most of us are snobs in a way, image conscience and desperate for som prestige. Trinity with it’s disgusting stadium and shady recent history fails on all counts.
When it comes to attracting the right players we have a very limited gene pool. So as I say some players suit some clubs and when fans moan that the ones we get are rejects and journeymen whatever they are need to get real.
The fact that they are rejects from the ‘competitive. Clubs always suggests to me that they will be ideal for us.
One day that may change but not any time soon. For now rough diamonds with points to prove are where it’s at. Mr Fifita fits tha bill perfectly, let’s hope he realises that ASAP. For his sake as well as ours. Not sour grapes from me but I’m as certain as I can be that the minute he leaves us he will quickly sink into oblivion. There are very few clubs out there that will put up with Daves attitude, he’d get cancelled very quickly. See Solomona at Bradford, never really worked for them.

| The whole episode can surly only have 2 outcomes .
1 he decides to wear and continues playing
2 he still refuses and the club take disciplinary action
Its a strange one.
Even if the Trinity received interest from another club surely they would require conformation he would wear the tracker before signing him..

I agree except two points.
McShane would start in any super league team.
Solomon a didn't work primarily because of injury and busting his arm playing for us.

Well not in front of two half backs no but I reckon both teams would be happy to play him if he was their option. I'd have him over McIllorum and although I prefer Clarke he isn't a long way off and if Clarke ever left McShane would get a game.
It was implied he wouldn't get a game at a top club which I contest but that doesn't mean they'd get rid of their current player for him.

If that is the case, that would ultimately be up to the team signing him.

Agreed, If we could go back now I would still make the swap deal, Mcshane - Heart the size of a pea and couldn't be bothered when it counted, Moore gave his all which is exactly what we needed at the time to keep us up.
