Dont think he meant we would be selling more than 2 based on the current situation, based on what he said I would expect a couple to leave having not had contract offers or sought a deal elsewhere.

Not having a pop at you Lyndsay, but lots of people say this sort of stuff about Dave Parker, A lot of what he writes about does come to fruition IMO. Does anyone have any idea where the mindset of 'its Dave Parker, it must be rubbish' came from? I know he has strong links with both Huddersfield and Hull KR so club news for those is usually spot on.

If you listen to the comments of RA regarding Liam Kay on the link provided on this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=33&t=557844&tsmp=1378709595
then my impression is different to the statement put out by Parker (no not Sue), also interesting about the change in attitude that was needed by Liam. Perhaps that is why we had some of our other players out at other clubs and maybe why they aren't coming back or haven't come back when expected.

| I like that Agar thinks Kirmond is "untouchable"
I know things can change but that is a good attitude for us
As said, I took it that the 3-5 comment was including people who were leaving anyway, not being sold. Equally though, none of us really know, including him what will be needed.
As he says, if one has to leave, we may be able to keep others we thought we couldn't.
I've liked the look of Kay in the games I've seen. I hope we keep him but I also appreciate Agar sees more of all the kids and if he doesn't think their attitude is right, I think it is good to send them on dual contract and see what happens. Lets hope Kay uses it for his own development.
I'd say, with no disrespect to Donny, that he can do better than that even if not with Wakefield

I used to get the paper that Parker scribbles in and I followed every comment regarding Trinity. He generally bangs in rumour after rumour that he picks up from various sources. His hit rate is about 1 in 10.
I will always remember his comments during the Pearman saga regarding our Executive boxes. He repeated for weeks that they had been sold to Silverstone. He even stated a day when the wagon was turning up to pick them up!
If he has any links with Shudds you can be sure that his comments regarding Trinity will be bled into the media to destabalise the club.

fair enough. He and Mick Murphy saved the Huddersfield club in the late 80's early 90's so he certainly has affinity to them.

| Agars stated that we have 15 players signed up for next season and that is the total budget spent. So it stands to reason that a decent amount of those are going to have to go to free up the money to bring in some bargain basement players to create a squad of at least 24. The key is can we get shut of the ones who don't currently offer value for money (Mellars springs to mind) or will it have to be key men that we would rather not lose.
Problem is when a guy is under a decent contract he isn't going to just walk away for nothing so if nobody wants Mellars, Fox, et al then we we are stuck with them.

| I don't think you are stuck with Mellars. He wasn't playing for Fev this weekend due to been de-registered by his parent club (WTW).

| Kay has not signed for anyone as yet, the club has offered him a increased deal but I'm afraid it's peanuts and unless they up it he will be going elsewhere , and to be fair to him I wouldn't play for what has been offered , as he could get more part time at Donny etc.
Hope they do find a way to keep him , talented player.
