| Atoni had more than 4 good games last time we were in SL. Give the guy a break - I agree he has no more to prove than our other props.

I reckon Atoni will be snapped up by another SL club if we don't offer him a decent contract. That's if it hasn't happened already. first game back is against one of the best packs in S L and Atoni went well ,and fans are saying he as to prove himself He is a good forward in a very good pack and will do is job like every body else The pack of the last time we were in S L is way in the past And think it is about time fans left it to the coaches to sort things out I can see how far we have improved under the new set up and have been proven wrong big time .If we lose today hope fans do not start having a go at Powell .We have had 3 games against three of the top 6 teams in S L could have won 2 .As poor as we played against Saints there 24 points were down to our mistake and the bounce of the ball and 50/50 calls. Think there game against HKR proved we are not far behind them ,if you get a fair share of luck

| Atoni has no more to prove than the other props who haven't played SL yet. I like him a lot.

| Another good run out for Atoni today. A few more like than and I’ll be happy to see him remain.
I also thought Faatili got some good minutes in today and looked fit and strong in the carry and in defence.
Mckmeeken, Storton and Vagana were excellent. Can see Storton putting himself in with a shout of playing for England if he carries on.

| Storton is top drawer and way better than the overpaid Aussie prop KR brought over, I bet deep down they wish they hadn’t wasted their money and kept him, their loss our gain

| Atoni had a great game yesterday, probably 2nd to McMeeken. Loved his offload that led to Russel's try.

| I agree on Atoni Didn't miss a tackle either. I'm not sure what else he needs to do for you Trojan

What do you mean? I said he played very well in the last two games. I’m not criticising him and haven’t at all. I did clearly say that for me I want to see a string of consistently good performances to justify any extension beyond this season. That’s what he needs to do for me. Great start, let’s see it carry on.

| Some murmurs that Lewis Dodd could become available to Superleague soon as his expected starting shirt has gone to another young half.
Probably would be a signing worth looking at for 2026 and onwards but we do have Trueman, Lino, Russell and Lawford. so it’s unlikely.
I would like to see us extend Roarke next season as he’s a player that could cover the full back line. So hard to find a place for him but I also feel he’s too good to not be playing.

| Not a rumour, and I decided not to start a new thread for it but news - Neil Tchamambe has signed a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
So along with Jayden Myers, that's 2 young wingers we've got signed up for the next few years. You get a feeling and it's just that, it may be Walmsley's last year, especially as we need quota space next season for Smoothy. As much as I like Walmsley and he always gives 100%, he does seem to be the obvious guy to make way. Saying that he'll have no problems getting another contract if we do decide to not renew, either at another SL club or more likely one of the top Champ clubs.
