You've got to be kidding. Maybe your Fafita went missing but the David Fifita who played at Wakefield never went missing. His stats back that up consistently

| I'm not a great believer in stats , for example Lynne this year he was always up there but most was running from first up not in open play where it counts. I am talking about fifita over all the years. For example we played widnes in the cup a few years back and he took the first drive in then didn't take another until the 35th min . Nobody would believe me then we played catalans week after on sky and he did exactly the same so they all watched closely and saw the same. Agreed he was a crowd pleaser especially over last couple of years but don't forget he was on top brass and so not sure he was the king people nake out. Be interested to know how many games he played for trinity and we won against how many we won when he was not playing.

That's because you don't understand the stats in my opinion. The metres are judged on metres forward not metres run.
Fifita had calf issues and often played injured....but I also remember a period of time where Fifita didn't miss a tackle for 10 games and was top tackler of the middles for most of them.
Stats are facts. You can interpret them differently, hence why politicians use them for agendas but Fifita's tackling and number of carries are facts.

| I've heard he's on about £150k a year at Cas.
Certainly not worth anywhere near that. Were getting rid of players on over inflated salaries.
If we were prepared to pay that sort of money, I'd rather move on and scout around in the NRL

| Pop tart I totally understand the stats but they don't interest me has they don't tell the whole picture. For money he was on I want someone who turns it on when it counts and wins the tight games by bit if magic and for he didn't. Only my opinion we would have been better spending his money on at least 2 very good players

Do you mean Fifita?
Well I guess my answer to that is, I don't think there were two 'very good players' available
And I haven't seen an overnight change in a whole Wakefield team since Wally was here. Others of course have been great, but to change the team we had to a team that could compete is unique in my view.
But, to your point, that was as much about his presence as his skills.

| Agreed his presence appeared to give us a bit of momentum but even that faded as we lost the last few games. With regards to players Salford and leigh have found them over last couple of years. End of the day it is a team game and at times felt like the fifita show

| We would have not gone down to Championship if Miller had stayed ,A lot better player than what we had at 6, and better than we have now

I think I agree with that, which makes it worse that he went to Cas.....I blame both sides of that negotiation not just him.
But then we might not have Ellis and we wouldn't have been able to let some of the players go that needed to go.

Agree guess it is swing and roundabouts

Some may not like stats but the fact is between 2017 and 2022 Fifita had 100+ Tackle Busts in every season except that 2020 covid and injury-hit one.
2017 - 104 TB and also had 598 tackles, missing just 22.
2018- 114 TB and 436 tackles missing just 19.
2019- 141 TB and 584 and just 29 missed.
2020- only played 9 games, through injury etc.
2021- 100 TB and 601 and missed just 18 tackles.
2022- 106 TB and 527 and 24 missed.
There isn't/wasn't another middle that comes close to those impactful stats, the amount of times he missed a tackle is pretty eye-opening for a big lad like him TBH. Also you don't get stats like those from hanging around in back play not asking for the ball, in fact quite the opposite.
