He had a hip resurfacing op, which a lot of athletes like Andy Murray etc have had done. I personally think he’s worth a shout, he’s only 31. If a busted 34 year old Fifita who has been playing bush rugby the last 6 month can come in and dominate on the field racking up +120 metre games I’m sure George would do well.

I think that on balance, if the owners are willing to fund it, then it’s probably a low risk exercise. A bit hard to tell if it will be good value for money though - he’s only played a few games. You can’t doubt his pedigree and experience though and with that big game experience could provide leadership levels currently only coming from Dave.

Talking about props. Fifita likely won’t be here after this season. It’s important we get a seasoned prop in and some quality in that position.

Brad Singleton at Wigan would be a good target for us. Experienced and tough prop still only 30. May as well take Mago too
