He also has Radlinski and loads of money.

| Quote: Prince Buster "Who refused to extend poaching s contract
Who hired Mash and Fordy
Who sat by and watched players like Gaskill,Lineham come to the club
Who signed Tafua,Proctor and Atoni
There is one undisputed fact in life, the performance of every organisation is a direct reflection of the skill and quality of the man at the very top.
The rugby side of this club has been an inept shambles for the last three seasons at least. Well before Mash arrived. If Mash is sacked by Monday I really feel no one could pull this mess around by the end of this season'"
Probably through necessity but, we've lost the top 5/6 players from last seasons squad and each one is a lesser player.
The current squad has the ability to scrape 11th spot but, no better. However, with Leigh proving to be ok in SL this time, we are now relying on one of the other sides being worse then us and unfortunately, after last night, we know that there isn't a worse side than us.
I dont think we can wait until there are 6/8 games left to roll the dice, something has to be done NOW.

| Yep good companies might try something new but they always put it to bed quick if it’s not working. Change now or it will be too late.

| I think the question asked should be, do the powers that be actually want us to stay up? I'm sure they've worked out all the financial implications if we do go down, how will sacking Applegarth be financially beneficial to the club? Because seemingly every decision that's been made in recent history, is down to finances, some of them necessary, but not all of them. Just on the actual playing side of things, I've mentioned on here a few times, these names. Green, Arundel, Josh Wood, Tangata etc, they were only here 2 years ago, and we won games with those players. Are this 'crop' worse than them ability wise??

| I don’t think changing the coach is always a good thing but it’s blatantly obvious after 8 games something isn’t right.
I don’t know who would be prepared to take this lot over though because too many of them are not SL Quality.
I honestly think we’ve had it this season, and sadly after 63years of supporting trinity I don’t really care. I’m sick of watching the crap they serve up. We’re miles too slow and not good enough. End of!

The big difference is Matty served his apprenticeship, only moving onto a new role when the time was right and someone else had vacated the position, he learned his trade very well and isn’t just a coach by numbers coach.

| Not posted on here for a while now due to comments I made as Applegarth was made coach and got lambasted for it.I did say I would eat humble pie if I was wrong, however it doesn’t look like I will be…… maybe there is time but doubt it.
I get the club has a budget to stick to etc however, the guy never real did much as a player did he, I think I did more to be honest. He certainly wouldn’t be in my top players at trinity over the years. So because he did ok with the younger sides, doesn’t mean that he will be any good at professional level. That’s what I said back then and I’m sticking to it now. Also I will say again, chester should never have gone……….. And I get told I don’t know anything. There is no way in any rugby league game that you are either nilled or hardly scoring regularly, I thought it was impossible but I will hold my hands up and say I was wrong. Enjoy the rest of the season if you can. My ticket has gone elsewhere as I can’t be bothered with the 4 hour journey to go watch it I’m sorry. Just one last point, there is no excitement watching RL anymore it’s hanging on by it’s coat tails. There is no atmosphere and I will not waste my money attending any game anymore. It’s not worth the hassle of getting to games. The best bit to an RL game these days is the build up about 1 hour before it starts……….. I can’t believe I said that but it’s true(in my opinion)

| Clearly things are not working so you can claim that you knew it before he started, but to say the reason is that he wasn't a great player is massively flawed.
Plenty of top players didn't make a good coach and plenty of average ones did.

Here we go again. You are missing my point completely. Never mind.

Well you are right then I don't get it. That is the only reason you give for him not being good enough.
I don't disagree that we shouldn't have got rid of Chester, but the fans made it impossible for him to stay.
It's going that way with Mash.

Yes it was time to remove Chester whose only advantage was his friendship with MC which may have helped release the purse strings when others couldn’t. His sell by date at the club had arrived in fact it probably expired a season earlier.
This is just my opinion but what I find strange was that when they removed WP they had a chance to see which coaches were available the problem MC had decided for whatever reason that Mash was the answer. We can all have an opinion for the reason why he did not take this opportunity but we are now reaping the fallout from this decision.

Never mind Applegarth I don’t understand what Ford brings to the table. He should get as much criticism.

| I feel a little sympathy for applegarth, but i lay this all at carters door he just appears to go his own way. Financially saved the club and i thank him for that. When kear was here we had a wealth of rl knowledge and results were ok.As soon as he left the decline started and the chester love in started, what i dont get is when results were bad and players called chester carters door was open to players who didn't want o be here. When players moaned about willie who saved us he was sacked that dosen't seem a balanced rl decision, does he listen to anybody? senior players etc who may have had a valid point. I could be wrong but not investing in a proven coach/director of rugby and signing off on extending aged players contracts & poor overseas transfers shows inexpierience or arrogance but certainly a lack of sound rl judgement.Just my opinion dont shoot!

| As I understand it Ford is supposedly the attacking coach and pre-season he said he was very happy how the attack was shaping up. Well I'm sorry but if what we are seeing is his idea of attack it differs completely from what most people see. Looking at his strategy he couldn't attack a sack of spuds with a chieftan tank.

| Quote: The Avenger "Marks a very one dimensional, coach by numbers formatted coach. What he does he does well but it’s very much to a template!
You need a lot more than that to progress to the head coaches position.
IMO, for his own development he needs to leave for a head coaches role at a League 1 or Championship club'"
Not being funny but he is exactly what I said he was and should have left the club to gain some Head Coach experience in the Championship then maybe come back in a few years to test his ability at Super League level.
As it stands we are all losers in this, the fans are watching dross, the clubs looking at relegation and Marks possibly blown his chances of ever being a top flight coach again after Trinity.
