| What exactly did the club expect from WP, the players recruited wasn't his.
We far too often play the poor old Wakey card then get rid of a coach just before he's responsibility for recruitment.
SORRY SOMETHING STINKS.

| Quote: Sacred Cow "Shocking decision. Poching and Cummins did exactly what was required of them given the resources available. Constant penny pinching makes any coaches job impossible. Carter is the one that should walk, he has run his course here.'"
Whilst most of us are surprised at this decision, let's just wait and see who comes in before we throw the baby out with the bath water. MC and JM have steadied this ship since they took over and will be fully aware how crucial next season is with the up-coming seismic changes at the end of the year, so for me we should cut them some slack until the new coaching set-up is announced...you never know we may be pleasantly surprised (Alternatively...we may not too )

Let’s not bandy words or hide behind semantics, they’ve told him his services as Head Coach are no longer required, so sacked him'"
No he has not been sacked he had a 12 month contract he's fulfilled it he doesn't get a new one that's not being sacked.

| It's to be hoped Carter's got an replacement in mind. I wasn't in favour of WP because he'd been part of the last regime however he fit the Carter's bill.
A quick announcement with a coach who can attract players because Carter should not be heading up recruitment.

| If what I heard yesterday morning was correct, it's more a case of someone coming up that was too much of an opportunity to pass up but we shall see if that has come to fruition over the next couple of weeks.

| Halfway through the season most wanted him gone, winning 4 of the last 5 games doesn't tell me it was a success he had 27 rounds to instill his credentials, oddly he had some weird way of punishing individuals which is never going to work by dropping them for a period, and from what i saw most the early games he didn't have a clue how to sort the issues of defence structure or changing up subs to change games.
Reality hit when we went bottom and voila kick up the backside to start winning, a collective effort but it is now 2 seasons in a row where its come to the last few games to get some wins.
I like poching but he is not a head coach the Toulouse game at Magic proved this, i'm not shocked at the news but i am concerned as to who will take over given some i'm sure may have applied 12 months ago and got turned away and what would now entice them to come in with the recruitment etc

| There's lots of speculation surrounding this decision and we may never know the details but my main concern is how this will affect recruitment. Willie is a well liked and respected individual and I'm sure this will be a factor in people choosing whether to come to us or not. I sincerely hope the coach who comes in will be able to influence the many payers we now need.
Thank you Willie for your time with us. Not been a smooth ride by any means

| First things first here.
Willie, thanks for your efforts and well done for keeping Trinity in SL under very difficult circumstances and good luck for the furure
The main issue is just who will we have coming in and then, what about recruitment.
The new coaching team need to be in place before we begin recruitment, which will leave us massively behind the other SL sides and possibly behind whoever gains promotion, which is far from ideal.
Yes, there will be opportunities to recruit players after the World Cup but the longer that things are uncertain, the less chance we have to get first pick on any available players.
Lets hope there is an announcement soon.
