I'll answer from my perspective:
Next year - good would look like:
1) challenging for the playoff spots instead of worrying about relegation battles
2) Making a decent stab at the Challenge Cup (Semi-final or better)
3) Seeing the East stand completed
If I'm honest there's only 1 of those 3 that I have any belief in sadly.
Long term - good would look like:
1) A good team built around our Academy products and supplemented with some real quality
2) Regularly hitting the playoff spots
3) A piece of Silverware

Tend to agree but probably moderate next year.
I'd be very happy with what you suggest but I'd be quite happy next year with mid table obscurity.
- Not in danger of relegation but consolidating a mid table position with more of the young guns playing.
- Competitive with every team.
- Move the ones on who don't want to play and replace with a bit of quality.
- Get an inspirational captain in place
- Stadium plans on track with East Stand all done.
- Financially in a good position so that if IMG bring franchising in we have a good case.

| Wish for what you want but if we survive it will be the same. Old same old.
The club will need to have a total change in attitude and be prepared to try things from a different angle instead of offering the duff we have had for quite a few seasons now.
Its the entertainment business and the quicker the club realise that supporters need expectations to rise.
With what's in store over the next couple of years spectators will have to be enticed to attend.
I expect the club will look at things a total different way and probably reduce expenditure.

| If we survive then like every recent season we start behind every other club. We are left to pick over what is left as per usual

The answer to your pointless question was obvious, none of the above. How we got here we all know and how we get out is anyones guess, but my only aim was to state a fact, it’s been another terrible season in so many ways. And I’m the one who needs to get a grip, yeah right

What's your evidence apparently some deals have been agreed but not announced. Obviously due to the current situation could and would impact on this just wait and see.

The issue is not "picking over what's left", its being able to attract players when the likelihood is that we will be battling against relegation, which renders any longer term contract irrelevant.
We have to find a way to get back to being a genuine play off challenger and not a side that can do no better than 10th in the comp.
IF we can get back to that position, better players will be more willing to come here.
Keeping our youth development at its current level (or better) is also essential if we want to progress.
If the rumours are correct, we're going to need to replace players in key positions. Persuading Fifita to play at BV for another season has to be near the top of the list.
I think we accept that Miler is going to Cas but, Lino to Wigan seems less likely. Let's hope he has a storming game this aft, to show them what they would be missing.
We could do with some real quality but, finding those players and persuading them to come to Trinity will be a hard sell.

Well it certainly looks like it, You along with quite a few others chose to renew your ST every season, I'm not trying to be controversial here but with all the negativity shown on here by you towards the club why do you do it, a point of interest the last season ticket I had was the season we were locked down and I myself did not ask for a refund, I don't comment on coaching as I'm not a coach, I don't criticise players either as I'm not a player, I think that personally you and some on here are being unkind to those what the club sign, those players we do sign do you compare them with the best players in super league and beyond our price bracket, or simply because in your opinion they just aren't good enough?

Clearly wasnt obvious and still isn't.
Anyway, the moment has passed. I was just trying to make conversation.

Yesterday was, but with a tinge of regret that it's come far too late.
Even you must find it a bit galling that we can play as we have in recent weeks but be so dire previously. It's even worse in a way because of the manner.
Most teams play reasonably well all season and then have a purple patch, meaning that they may eventually get a play off spot. We have simply been dire nearly all season then produce some fantastic form but whose only outcome is to save us (hopefully) from relegation. I'd be happy with this if we'd been battling all season and it had finally clicked in place but that's not how it's been in my opinion. We've been capable of far better all season and we should in truth be challenging Cas etc for a play off spot but we are nowhere near that.
Gloss it how you want but I feel the club has been cheated this year in a way it wasn't in previous poor seasons. And if it helps I'll agree Poching to has been a victim in many respects.
Is that really what any of us want?
I'll celebrate staying in SL obviously, but I won't join in the praise of the team overall efforts this season. I'm not so easily swayed after Leeds, Cas at home, HKR, Toulouse and a near record defeat at Salford. I don't want to hold grudges but I', not that quick to forgive and I'm astonished some are. Not you as it happens, you've been consistent if wrong IMHO.
