One thing I did notice in the East Stand tonight, was a lot more juniors in attendance, perhaps some of those free tickets have been used.

Quote: Redscat "For me the only players going forward to any degree were DF and Tj.
Wish I could agree with some on here regarding their optimism. About ten of us in the little group where I stand were all of the same opinion, .........A very below par performance .No better than against Leeds really.'"

I'm in agreement. Happy that we won but Toulouse were pants as well. There are a couple of teams that would have beat us in the championship on that performance. I couldn't work out what the game plan was at all. There was plenty of Super League experience in our team but some of the decision making, execution and discipline was poor.

Lots of the free tickets were used and lots of booze was smuggled in too.

Good initiative but hopefully only do it once a year!!

Thanks.. caught the last eight minutes of the game.., seems the commentators were frozen… rather play badly and win than play well and lose icon_smile.gif

It was a decent win, we didn't look like losing and Toulouse defended well to be fair.
I think we will play better in the warmer weather.
I'm just happy with the 2 points.

A wins a win as they say ,but they made hard work of it . Maybe nerves maybe not but we have to ramp up in all areas for next week and need that saints game mentality back .Apart from some defensive lapses I though we managed that side of the game pretty well ,but attack certainly needs lots of work .For me Walker is a ball playing loose forwards and a stand in half back who’s doing a decent job but Miller for me when fit every day of the week . Big dave and Lino got us on the front foot last night ,but that won’t cut it against tougher opponents , we need to be far more slicker and fluid in attack , as getting to the line isn’t a problem it’s creating the gaps ,overlaps that we are finding difficult.we’re off the mark and let’s hope with the pressure now off somewhat we can play that open attractive rugby that we’ve seen so far only in glimpses .

Yes agree ,love to see him play at loseforward. Jowitt was out, but can I say Escare gave us 100% some of those high balls he took in those conditions were impressive

I think we definitely missed Max Jowitt's attacking flair, particularly on the left flank, we fluffed a couple of overlaps there.
I thought Tolouse played better rugby than us, despite the conditions and I hope we start playing better rugby at some point, perhaps when dryer weather comes because we seem to be stuck in a pattern of passing the ball to players stood still and players running back into where the pass has just come from!. Not nice to watch but at least we found a way to win.
TJ was awesome last night - he took some stick but made that last try happen.
Ryan Hall and McGilvray musty be very special!!

The only thing that mattered last night was the result and we managed to do that.
More direct running in the 2nd half got us on the front foot and Lino was superb.
His effort to drag their plater back over his own try line typified his effort.

If we can start to get some more confidence, the victories will come.

Well done boys eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif

What’s going on with the lights ,the corner of the ground nearest the food shack was miles darker than the rest of the pitch , lights were on but by looks of it weren’t focused on that part of the ground

Yes we noticed that about the lights.

On the game it was two points I have seen us play great and lose tonight the conditions were poor and we played them better. Just poor discipline and coughing the ball up too early cost us some points. The wind was tricky and going in 8-6 at half time with the wind behind ud in the second half was a factor too. the pass from TJ was worth the ticket fee.

I must admit, my thoughts exactly. Something isn’t right with the lights at that end, I know we don’t get Sky cameras at BV very often, but they wouldn’t have been impressed, I hope the lights are still under warranty, because they aren’t doing the job at this moment.

Hope Kelepi and Batch are ok ,who both put themselves about in the game and will certainly be missed next week if they don’t line up against the Wires .

No problems last week when the Sky cameras were here as far as I can recall?

Live there was nothing wrong with the illumination, the video footage of the Johnstone assist looks very dark but the camera appears to readjust when Hall scores. Leeds scored tight in that corner last week in front of the sky cameras and there was nothing wrong with the footage then.

I have considered whether or not the lights have been designed around any redevelopment though. BV is pretty open, but with a potential large roof structure getting installed this could block the light, especially as they are lower than the old ones.
