For me there is nothing to fear what I have seen of Hull our backs should be able to stretch them on the pitch and we out do them for pace. My concern is the middle where I think we are a bit light. Hull will have some fire power missing up front but regardless we need to make sure our tactics are right through this season as some teams might just go through our middle defence. I thought defensively at Leeds and Halifax on the whole the defence looked better however at Fev we didn't re4ally hold their forwards. The business starts in 2 weeks thats what counts.

by the sound of it and the injuries they have we are a good chance to start the season off great - with 2 away games against the GF from last year to follow -it would be a much needed 2 points .

If anything us say the opposite, we have really quick wingers and two very good centre, our pack looks weak, particularly the bench.

Yeah but so do we, especially if Tupes is fit so that kind of negates that. It will definitely be won or lost in the pack as early heavy pitch games usually are.

Fash
Savelio
Satae
Bowden

Are weak looking. Yes Hull have a couple of injuries but let’s not kid ourselves that their going to be rocking up at bell bue with a small pack who are going to roll over and ask their bellies to be tickled.

Bowden is terrible, Fash solid, Houghton is OK these days.

Savelio and Satae are strong, but neither have played a pre season game.

Our pack isn't as good or big as some make.

Although the 3 players I'm most excited about you haven't mentioned, Lane, Brown and Lovedua, none of these are particularly big though.

Certainly not lacking any experience in the top flight though so and I can’t see them not being up for round one. I don’t watch them week in week out though like you do.

From a fan of another club looking in it looks a fairly decent experiences set of forwards. We will have to see on the day. Expecting a tough encounter though as both teams will want to get off to a flyer.

Just been looking at the potential line up Hull and to be honest it doesn’t look a weakened team to me, not even close. Gale alone is generally a nightmare for us.

Anybody expecting a walk over on this one is in for a rude awakening. On paper at leat Hull look slightly stronger than us. If TJ, Fifita, Lino and especially new boy Hood fire we should be in with a shout but if we are under par we will lose imho.

I just wish we had an pack member who can stamp his authority and aggression in the game, our packs easy going.
