With Wayne odds on for the vacant Wigan job at the end of the season it’s ward or McDermott for me as uk based coaches , But there is a plethora of Aussie coaches waiting in the wings to be given a chance ,but obviously money may be a stumbling block.Pretty sure plenty of coaches known and Not so known to us will put their hat into the ring for a chance to coach super league club.

What issue have I had with a moderator? Lol, how many times have you been banned from here? Slowly but surely slipping into old habits with your fat jibes.

Think smith did more than some realise no coincidence we wher good for a couple of years after his departure

There may be a few Aussies who see the super league as a way to get an NRL head-coach job as per Justin Holbrook and Trent Robinson. The problem will be that we'd regard a top-six finish as a good result whereas it wouldn't register with the NRL. Holbrook took Saints back to the top.

There are two types of coaches: those who can coach very good players to be better (Holbrook, Robinson) and those who can get a lot out of players who aren't so good (Kear, Powell).

Arguably, a disciplinarian is needed, to kick some butt and get people fit, but because there isn't much going the club other than the team spirit, that is probably a bad decision. Danny Ward fit the bill for the job of getting a lot out of not-so-good players.

Looking at MC's comments re potential postponements, perhaps CC was too honourable and it cost him (along with other things).

he lives in Knottingley now spoke to him a couple of month ago he’s doing fine. A very underrated coach and it was a pleasure working with him for a number of years with our academy and on various junior camps. I asked him if he fancied one more go at it but he totally fell out with the game and the way it was run and being played

Why ?? He’s got less experience than Poching at min ! Willie has been in great company up to joining Us , I’m looking forward to what he can bring to the team .
