UP THE TRIN !!!!:34236.jpg |

| We are the mighty trin let's build with Tommy at the elm in our new and improved belle Vue. Dont forget he's only played 2 from 4 years due to the shocking injuries he has had. He is like watching Ryan Giggs in his prime class.

| The only thing Tom needs is an injury free season , he'll score a lot of tries with the ball he gets.
I've seen some great wingers at BV from 1960 and make no mistake Tom is up there with the best of them.
He's a credit to the club and I can't wait to see him scorching in for many a try in a new stadium!

That's not what I said though is it? I said he should be our go to play most sets. He has the ball in a lot of sets now anyway by virtue of the fact we repeatedly utilise him to run the ball from dummy half in his own 20. If anything's going to 'break him' then that is more likely to although still probably won't. Maybe we could adapt that strategy to try get him the ball as often as now but when he's on the wing instead where he can make best use of his outstanding skills? The way rugby games pan out even with all the will in the world he still wouldn't get it each set anyway - balls get dropped, plays go wrong etc. My issue is we don't appear to have a proper strategy to frequently try get him into the game, certainly not when he's actually on the wing. We've got the best winger in the league for God's sake use him

| Not much to say here other then, we have one of possibly THE most prolific wingers and finishers in the game.
Pace, balance, power and finishing skills that weren't possible a few years ago (when the corner flag was in play).
Sit back and enjoy !
The only downside was not being there to watch it at the ground, can you imagine the roar of the crowd with those 2 efforts.
ABSOLUTE QUALITY

It's a pity your appearance on this forum isn't.
Give it a rest FFS.

So why do you support the team (I use the word loosely)?
If we are encouraging our top players to go elsewhere you may as well support an amateur team or at least a semi pro team.
We have a crown jewel. We should protect it at all costs.
By all means recruit to get the best out of his skills.
Having Tupou does that and hopefully Lino does that too.

| He is a brilliant player and every single team in SL would chase his signature, if he became available. I think it is so refreshing to see a player, who could easily throw his toys out and engineer a move to Wigan, Saints or Leeds, look happy and wear his shirt with such passion and pride. I sincerely hope he can have the rest of his career in good, injury free form, he has had wretched luck with injuries that have finished other players and he is genuinely world class and a joy to watch, even as an opposition fan. The only other player I can recall of that quality who stuck to his own team is back in the 80's and was John Woods, of Leigh. He stuck with them despite Hull offering (a huge contract for the time) world record amounts to sign him. I think he left Leigh to save them financially and I don't think you will lose TJ - he's obviously happy and has personal emotional investment in his club.

Not the first non Wakefield fan to say what we all know, but it's nice to hear.

| Its not a cas of encouraging players to leave but i started the thread as all players when you start a career have ambitions and if you become a big fish in a little pond with a lesser chance of winning things and you have the capability of winning things especially in the nrl at a bigger club whats wrong with giving it a go could you imagine the response to his first try if it was repeated in nrl andrew voss may even be lost for words

yes he is and he should look elsewhere to a big club or the NRL - otherwise he will waste his carrer in the doldrums of super league finishing 10 th or 11th every year
sorry guys but that is the reality of it
