rlhttps://www.skysports.com/rugby-league/chorley-lynx-vs-wakefield/15086rl'" pretty sure it was - first and only time we’d been to Chorley

I seem to remember that whilst Tadulala was on debut most of the tries came down the other side, and thinking the poor beggar must be frozen stiff. Also a pie and a tea was £1.10. Absolute bargain and they were both pretty decent.

| Quote: Kirmudgeonlyisback "So many good memories but one of the best was our home game when we played St. Helens at Barnsley - so not strictly away - but not at home , we won 23 -22 if I remember rightly Paul March reefed the ball away and ran in the winning try, we had a Volvo with a sun roof and with my then teen age kids spent rest of night driving round Barnsley and wakefield with the kids shouting on the roof ! Possibly a slight faux pas of health and safety'"
Remember that well.....
Seeing as it only 5mins to walk to the ground....

| There’s two for me that will always stand out from recent history - Leeds and Widnes away from 2016. Probably for personal reasons more than any as it was the first games I think my son really ‘got it’.
The Leeds game when Hall went 80 yards to win it just felt like 2015 had been put to bed, finally a ball bounced our way and all on the scene of their fallen empire
Sadly the days of challenge cup more obscure away days seem to be behind us, with the seeding system. Would love a trip to one of the Cumbria clubs

| for me it was the Wigan 6 – 12 Wakefield Trinity back in 2009 after the death of Adam, we wasn't expected to win and had injuries and a few unwell to play leaving us with a weaken side to play the one of the favorites for that season, it was a hard fought game nothing spectacular but the relief and ecstatic feeling after the game walking out was something special to savor add that with the welcoming and congratulated response from the wigan fans on that day

| A stand out game for me was season 92-93 Wigan away in a mid week fixture. Wigan had signed Tuigamala and waited a few weeks to give him his debut, waiting for the Wakefield game thinking of a dream start. A packed Central Park and a Wakefield win 20 points to 13 with a Mike Forshaw try from an Andy Wilson 60 yard break and Henry Paul's 40 yard try in the dying seconds. It back fired on Wigan big style with Tuigamala looking like a fish out of water on the night.

That's the match I referred to in my earlier post, but it was 16th February 1994....I've now found a link to Wigan's season and if you scroll down it lists the Wigan players for every game that season...

| Can't remember the year, but me and a few mates travelled on the supporters coach up to a game at Barrow.
Copious amounts of beer were drunk on the way up, and a lad near us needed to vomit. Grabbing the nearest carrier bag he could find, he chucked all over his remaining cans of beer. Oh, how we laughed.
I think we won the game.
On the return journey, said person simply rubbed the dried vomit off the cans with his sleeve, and carried on where he left off!
That was a memorable away day - does it count?

Must have been the season that Barrow were promoted to the old first division 1989 ?
It was along day !
Also remember going up to Carlisle for a cup game, where David Jones finally scored a try for us !

Didnt we play them 3 days earlier in the cup amd lost a close game
Remember henry try very much picking up from dummy half and running from around half way line think it was wigan first defeat at central park in about 3 years
