| Good news, although the mention of Yorkcourt and funding in the same sentence makes me nervous. Once bitten twice shy and all that. Still fingers crossed for the umpteenth time.

| Absolutely tremendous news!!!
I'm someone who normally stands infront of the East Stand - I can't tell from the drawings whether or not there will still be some standing capacity up front, however, will gladly buy a seat instead if this is to be our new East Stand.
Am absolutely chuffed to bits, November has been a great month to be a Wakefield Trinity fan!

Doesn't look like it to me, I suspect it's easier to construct one or the other rater than mix both.

Can't think that is a massive job.
Looking forward to my new fancy seat in the east stand.
Pity the pitch has to go but its understandable if they want to use it for community as well as just us'"
You might regret saying that if your sat next to scarlet.

| This is great news for the club, in what has been a difficult year for the club.
However, in 50 years of watching, I have seen some false dawns indeed, so excited about it, but with an air of caution. I am though optimistic about it, we own the stadium now, and it would appear funding is in place

| After several failed plans, fingers crossed that this goes ahead. The plans do look good though.
I’m a bit cautious though in reading this, as Yorkourt’s name has been mentioned.
Hopefully, this is phase one, with East and North Stand in these plans, with further phase(s) for South and West. It wouldn’t look right, just two sides being revamped.
Having sat in offices in the Benidorm flats, I disagree. On a cold day, they are very cold and cheerless. I’m sure MC said the same about the warmth in them a while back. They have, or did have electric storage heaters, which weren’t very energy efficient.
Not sure on the 4G pitch though, given the quality on our playing surface, unless maybe there is the possibility of maybe one of our local football sides moving in too.

| Great news, but without wanting to sound churlish I would hate to see the loss of the grass playing surface. I always thought we had the best surface in Super League, and prior to that. But quite like the AIs. Can't wait to see the first sod raised.

| Exciting news, as a few others have said something feels different this time around, but I guess we will see in the not too distant future!
Does anyone know the situation re Yorkcourt and funding? Last I knew the club were talking about pursuing legal action, probably missed a lot of the story since then.
Something tells me that in the next couple of years, this development will allow us to retain our Super League status.

It says on the club statement Yorkcourt are part of the funding consortium as part of the S10 agreement.
How binding that is god knows.

| If it's a truly community stadium there us no alternative to 4G grass. Shame but needs must.

That’s it, the pitch can be used 24/7 if needed coupled with conference facilities we have a stadium in use 7 days a week.

| Excellent news!
In terms of phases, the hospitality section will clearly replace the Benidorm flats, but allow the flats to be used until the other stuff is completed. I assume that the extra revenue generated by the year-round pitch and conferencing facilities will held fund a revamped west stand and a new away stand in place of the flats, similar to what they have down the side and behind the sticks at Salford.
