So..... Who are the journey men?

Josh Woods ?
Lee Kershaw (injured)
Reece Lynne (suspended for 2 games)
Tony Gigot (cup tied)
Liam Kay (cup tied)
Gigot is not cup tied, he is injured.

That's the common consensus, however he was in the Toronto squad that beat Huddersfield in the last round (although he was an unused interchange) so is therefore cup tied
He may also be injured

I was going to ask that too
We have a team of seasoned pros
There’s no journeymen in there
Unless we’ve brought Grey Vianne out of retirement
Now he was a journey man

| Quote: PopTart "Which ones are journeymen?'" i wouldn’t class players as journeymen, they move from club to club to do a job for that club, what I would say on recruitment is are they better than what we’ve got
Gigot and walker are they better than max or rocky not imo and not needed
Josh wood/ Randall
Tangata/ fafita, kopcheck
Westerman/ ashurst or arona
Atkins / toupo or lynn ten years ago I’d say yes
Danny brough probably better in the mind but not in the body
Kaye / bjb kershaw
What we have ended up with is players who have had good careers but do they still have that hunger to do it again also if you check
The age of the forwards apart from crowther and batch all of them are pushing 30 odd

Chester said in his presser yesterday Gigot isn’t cup tied and would have played but for injury...

If you are saying the ones on the left were not needed because of the ones on the right then that is partly answered by injuries.
Walker was signed when Hampshire was set to leave. So actually Hampshire is the journeyman of those two.
Tangata was cover for players leaving and imho is better than Hirst and an injured Huby
Westerman possibly though at his best he definitely brings more skill than we have and Arona had a long term injury. Crowther might be that guy but I haven't seen those ball skills consistently.... But I'd be prepared to find out.
Kay was covering long term injuries and proves his case by 1 playing well and 2 there is no one else left.
Brough was a risk. I never liked it but it might have worked. Unfortunately not a success really.
Atkins again was cover which to be honest I think Croft is good enough to be now but with Arundal out for so long we needed someone else.
Gigot time will tell. He's clearly been very good recently, but I'm not sure he's the guy for us yet.
I think it's easy to forget how low we were on numbers last season. A clean up of contracts is probably needed next season.

I made a point on recruitment that the players we are bringing in are no better than what we have so how do you expect for the team or squad to improve. So surprisingly your correct the ones on the left should of not been got and better players should of been brought in. In case you hadn’t noticed the age of most of the pack and a lot of the recruits brought in we’re 30 plus and if you think we’ve taken a step forward you must have your hands over your eyes so the signings on the left have made no difference and we’re not needed

| Has anyone ever done a fantasy team for football or rugby?
You start off picking the top players you want, then all of a sudden you look at your budget and have to start putting the players in you would never have dreamt of selecting...you want to carry on putting the better players in but you can’t because the budget doesn’t allow, so you have to swap and change and settle for what you think is about the right balance...
If you haven’t had a go at it, then have a go...it could be a bit of an eye opener...
Then just think what teams like ours have to go through when it isn’t fantasy but real money and budgets they’re working with!

Not according to an interview given by CC, he says that because he was an unused sub, then he is eligible to play for WT in the cup.

| Squads looking strong, would’ve been good to have Bish on the wing over Jowitt.
Not even d if we win, just want to play better than last week.

| First 20 minutes we need to complete high and do the basics well. If we do I’ve no doubt we’ve got a chance.
