| A man with an American accent once pulled up next to me and asked, "Excuse me - do you know the way to Feather-Stone?" - perfectly enunciated. I pointed him the right way, and gave him a bit of advice about pronunciation, just so he didn't get knacked when he got there.
Meanwhile - I'll be cheering for Fev - would love to see them get the win.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

So you think no opposition fans is better? I don’t. RL is not a big enough sport for most clubs to survive on home gates. Whilst local derbies bring in cash, public interest and spectacle, Toronto offer none of that. There games both home and away will be dull sterile event imo.

Toronto will get the public interest, especially in the first instance, but that will wane as the season progresses. I dare say looking at the bigger picture Toronto, if it does take off, will be a shot in the arm for the game which Featherstone, or indeed any existing UK club, will not be able to provide. However, I would also imagine Fev will be around for a lot longer than Toronto.
Long term everyone would be better off with a full time NA league as I imagine if it did take off across the pond the likes of New York etc will soon get fed up of playing tin pot clubs from small towns in Northern England like Wigan and St Helens.

| Having watched Fev I always thought that they were the only team in the championship that could trouble Toronto, would love for it to have been York and Fordy, but a bit early for them. Hope Fev do em cos I can’t stand Toronto and would love em to fail again.

| It would be hilarious if Feath won tbh, just to watch the meltdown of the more militant expansion mob.
On the other hand Feaths owner when interviewed about if they were ready for SL if they got the chance, seems more preoccupied having a shot at us for some reason instead of answering the question asked. He did it on backchat the other episode and I've read it in interviews. Sort bof puts me off them unfortunately. See if I can find it.

I mean seriously why suddenly start to rubbish our Club when asked about if Featherstone would be ready for SL, what's the poiint. Also It's not as though he doesn't know about our history with trying to get a ground built either.

Small time village mentality I'm afraid. Still would love to see them get promoted. As Wollo said elsewhere, it will enable the collective support to lose that chip that weighs so heavily upon their shoulders.

Because the bloke is a bell end, however I want a vibrant game and maximum income to build our team and our stand and long term teams like Fev, Halifax or Leigh offer more than a one season wonder like Toronto will.
I’m not anti expansionist, I can see the logic of Toulouse and a second French team but Toronto...no.

Read that but thought it such an unprofessional article it can’t be right, why would a chairman when asked if they’re ready for SL slate another club instead of saying what they offer.

| Cambell will ruin Fev eventually, some of his actions behind the scenes are definitely not chairman like believe me, shame if it does and some of their fans I’ve worked with can be very bitter and twisted towards Wakefield I’m afraid, probably never got over the forward pass at Mcalpine stadium

Agree about Toulouse, if there's one team where you can see the positives of them in SL both short and long term it's Toulouse. More fans, more young players interested and with the combined force of both them & Catalans getting a TV deal in France sorted would look very possible. Plus obviously creating another derby, which would benefit the French game as whole , making their national team all the better in the long term. Shame they couldn't make it.
