Used to walk through there as a child with my dad. Always full of older men drinking, the smell of cigars and pipes.

Yeah, true BLM, and paddling through the puddles of spilt ale on the floor of the old west stand bar.

And the long lost smell of Wintergreen, something I’ll never forget. That’s when the changing rooms where there before the bar

| when I was their mid week a few weeks back the worker I spoke to was doing the surveying on the flats (south) end of the ground if that means anything
but you would think they wouldn't get rid of the corporates first .
but he 100% told me he was working on the first stage of the re development

| I’m sure whichever side gets built first it will be a massive improvement on what we’ve got and will be the first piece of the jigsaw in bringing our iconic ground up to date and fit for purpose .

That’s the sad truth, I don’t think there is any part of the current BV that anyone would seriously miss, not a brick of it is worth saving. This is unusual as most old grounds have some iconic areas that fans don’t want to lose but BV has been so badly butchered I can’t think of any. It’s a blank canvas in that respect and as you say it can only be improved.
There may be a few who see it differently and are sentimentally attaches to something but not many I’d have thought but I doubt anyone wouldn’t accept the need.

| Would like to see the Northstand rebuilt as a terrace. It’s a big old space if use the area in the Nw corner correctly where the old buildings stand.
The wall behind the West Stand looks far from clever as you walks through from St catherines St.

It would probably cheaper to seat the upper section if we were doing the absolute minimum. Large terracing is expensive and getting a safety certificate will be trickier as I’m told the authorities are more lenient to seats.
The key to the North stand is can we just reinstate the terracing to a good level but leave the underpinning as is, I don’t know before our resident expert pipes up. In which case it would be cheap and end up like the one at Fax which would be fine by me. A full redevelopment would be astronomical, possibly more than the East stand due to moving so much toxic earth.

| To be fair I see benefit in decreasing the foot print and putting seats behind it, opening the area behind as it's pretty tight against Doncaster Road, people often have to step out to get past orhers. The main thing is to get a touchline terrace and make that the home only stand. It would benefit the team massively.

My understanding is that along with the ageing concrete blocks crumbling the 'underpinning ' is a problem also. The patching shows where the dops have occurred and the undualating terarcing. I very much doubt with modern day standards patch and go will not be acceptable but I am confident that those in charge of the design and development will have a handle on all these matters.

Yes, it has, it's ok for the use it has now but if it were to be used daily by people it would need removing. I believe thats one of the reasons why the previous developer couldn't or wouldn't develop the site, as ever I may be wrong but that's what I understand.
