It’s playing out with him exactly as i said it would. He’ll start ok but will want to be top dog and eventually push everyone else's nose out of joint by trying to take control of everything, trouble is he is now past his best and can no longer do that. Chuck in an overrated, seemingly undroppable, stand off at the side of him and there’s a major problem.'"
Looking at the game last night brough was one of the least of our problems ,there were younger players than him grasping at shirt collars and thin air in vain attempts at tackles which led to our downfall .No he wasn’t at his best but he was far from the worst for effort .There was a mountain of a man who had one bullocking run all night in which he trampled all before him, then disappeared bar the odd collar grab. There were seasoned wingers and centres that were embarrassing in both attack and defence .Overall we got what we deserved out of that game which was jack all .Think teams have found out we have a very soft underbelly, put enough pressure on us and we buckle ,how much this is the players or coaches fault I don’t know but something soon will have to give for the clubs sake .

With miller running the show. Instead we sign an aging whinging has been who's done nothing other than send us to 2nd bottom if we're lucky. I've seen him stifle both Gaskell and brierley at hudds now he's doing it here. I think we've lost Hampshire and probably jowitt too, which is a massive disappointment for me. Especially as it now seems any sl oap can rock up at Belle vue for an easy 2 year deal.'"
This is what we should have done this season but didn't WHY, Our attacking lines are so poor it;s like we don't know what to do next one of the better teams would have put on 20/30 points on Cas on friday with the amount of possession we had on there line and to make things look worse their went down our end and showed how to create an extra man to walk in the corner and score.

That may well keep us up and you down, so I reckon he's earned his money doing that.

| All this negativity and "I told you so" from the anti-Broughie brigade is a bit sickening. Up until the injury he was having a good season. Ok,he's no longer as fast as he was but his tactical kicking is still better than anyone else in the side can manage. He can still create attacking moves (as last Friday showed), and still has an astute footballing brain. Along with Batchelor I thought he was our best player
against Cas. There are many more players in the side to blame for our bad form before Broughie; Milky for one.

| we did warn you when you were all wetting yourselves about signing him theres a reason we allowed a 36 year old to leave
I also agree with the poster on him been a stifling influence, Gaskell is playing really well now Brough isn't there taking things off him and our younger backs are going great, he was no help at all to them and often critisiced them

| Nope, but they weren't under Brough for the last 3 years neither, Gaskell has improved no end since Danny left, he wasn't allowed to play when DB was on the field, no one was and it sounds like its happening again.

| Brough's kicking was the only thing that kept us in the game. His kick created the first try, he scored the 2nd and his kicks were the only thing getting us any sort of field position seeing as though there was only Tanginoa and Koppy who looked like breaking a tackle.

| First what happened to the Trinity spirit guts determination?
Poor leadership and captain in Miller long contract and stealing a living
Poor coaching we hit the ball flat standing still. We do not move up as a line into the tackle and the defence out wide is schoolboy
It’s obvious the dressing room is not a happy camp and certain members do have a history I maybe miles off there but something is wrong
One problem is a lousy player retainment policy Kirmond, Hirst, Huby, Annakin, Baldwinson, 5 wages that for me could have paid 2
A combination of great players finished and 3 who just won’t cut it at this level.

| I'm all for trying a new combo in the halves - it can't get any worse and what have we got to lose. Miller has been tripe for some time and shows little leadership qualities. While ever Brough is on the field it would seem that our only option is to give it to him to kick and that has hardly paid huge dividends. Time for a change imo.

| To me the main problem is that a lot of time we make the wrong option during open play be it be Miller,Hampshire,Broughy,We seem to rely on five drives and a kick a lot more instead of spreading the ball about and try to make more yards out wide i know it's all fine margins in sport but i feel we don't help are self's maybe we are playing too structured and should more ad-hock because these tactics are certainly not working.
Has for Miller i like him like i said he's best playing off the cuff that's when we get the best out of him but opposite coach's know that and i have noticed a lot this season how many times he is getting taken out be it a bit late but there differently closing down more which is adding to is poor play.
Broughy yes is past is best and get's targeted in defence which we do need to be more aware of on the field but again he still got a good kicking game
Hampshire should be playing Hb his main weapon is his pace but does need to learn to make them right decisions on the field more in which only comes with more experience he will get there.
And the biggest irritating think for me is why the hell isn't Max Jowitt our established no'1, What as the lad got to do to be playing week in because he's differently good enough the answer to that is probable leave.
