And thanks for your efforts.

| Quote: ricardo07 "Desperation defies logic.
The stands are too small.
We need capacity to be at least 10,000 and those side stands just are not big enough.'"
No there not - nobody is suggesting the whole lot are they just bits of it. The bulk of the capacity is in the north stand with the East having most potential to rebuild. That is where you will get your 10,000 in those two areas.
There simply isn’t the room at the west or south of the ground. Hence two of those stands/ terraces do actually fit - you can’t argue that - it’s the major problem with the BV site.
If we are to stay and the monies on offer are not huge then these are the compromises that MUST be made, sad but true.

I heard it's a council guaranteed loan to buy BV back. Not sure if there is anything more than that such as would this loan cover redevelopment of the ground.

Indeed
It's appalling that we've got to where we are but, if we are looking at a reasonably well tarted up BV or, waiting for Box to leave office, there isn't too much choice.
It's still staggering that you can have the ruling by the SoS and yet still nothing.
Yorkcourt have played their hand well, aided and abetted by WMDC (and Box) and are still laughing at us but, we remain hopeful.

Seems like it’s the common rumour that’s going around. Whether that’s just for the ground itself or surrounding land aswell who knows? Like you say I suppose how much that is worth will depend on what we can achieve with the redevelopment

Carter tried contacting Gary Neville a year or so back with regards to the company who constructed this.

Indeed, they aren't going to win any architecture awards anytime soon but a fit for purpose small stadium on a budget and limited footprint?

Exactly. They have one pic of a main stand they did that was around 1500 seats I think with clubhouse etc. Looks quite smart to be honest and I don’t think it broke the bank. It was for hayes & yeading fc

| For those of you on Twitter, David Spereall ( @DavidSpereall ) of the Wakefield Express is posting updates of the planning meeting.
The rep for Yorkcourt is coming under quite a bit of fire from Councillors but is insisting they are acting within the law.

The council's legal adviser Kevin Winter tells the planning committee that councillors have to vote on this matter as a stand alone application.
In other words, ignore the stadium agreement.

| 'Meeting told that council requested contribution from Yorkcourt towards the stadium as part of this app. Developers replied that this was "not a legitimate" request because the warehouse is a stand alone app. Council took legal advice, which supported Yorkcourt's view. On that basis, officers have recommended planning permission for warehouse be approved in the pre-meeting report. It will now be debated by councillors after speakers from both sides have had their say.'
In other words, we're getting nothing and the council won't do anything to stop Yorkcourt taking the peas...

'"The council very actively promoted this scheme and didn't distinguish between stadium and other applications that run alongside it," Kevin Swift says, to applause from public gallery.'
Sounds like we are putting up a good fight!

Kathy Scott asks if the local authority is in contravention of any rules because it allowed Greenbelt land to be adopted for development (for the stadium) under special circumstances. Council officer says that's not the case cos developers aren't harming the environment
