Dave will never be truly fit like his brother that’s why we have him and not Andrew. I don’t know him but I can tell that he just does enough to get by but not enough to ever be an athlete.
SL allows him to get away with that and luckily because he’s a natural showman he comes alive on match day and most times his lack of fitness makes no difference to the effect he has on a game.
PP is very similar but not such a natural player but on our budget they are worth every penny. I admit it would be great if Dave had a conversion but it won’t happen and maybe it’s better that way.

| As the previous poster mentioned he's just come back from a second surgery & not long since started training properly - I watched a video maybe a couple of weeks ago and he'd only just started running, so it's no surprise he's not fully fit, or even as fit as the others at this stage.
Personally, I don't really agree with vasty about Dave, I didn't think he looked as fit as he normally does and as I mentioned above it's no surprise. Generally for a guy his size or for a prop, in general, I don't have any issues with his fitness. Otherwise, he wouldn't make the meters per season he has done and played in the number of games he has. I also think a lack of fitness would really show up in missed tackles, where if I'm not wrong he's got one of the best tackle percentages in the team. He does as many minutes as any of our props and as we've seen at times can do longer when needed. ATEOTD though how fit can a 6 ft 5, 120kg+ player truly get, the only way would be to lose size but then would he be the same player and have the same impact.

I have to agree. For his size I think he does more minutes than most.
A good sign of fitness is that he never makes mistakes. He takes the ball in and bounces players around but unlike other blockbusting players he never missed a tackle. (I wrote that and then realised that is exactly what you said in the next sentence!)
He clearly isn't a tri-athlete but he isn't unfit.

| Tinny monstered that game, outworked everything on the park.
Danny Brush is gonna need at bit more room at 2nd and 3rd man, got caught a few times but spread it about and kicked pretty well, in fact I don't think he wasted any kicks, some were blocked and some were rushed out of him but those he got away had some kind of win on them.

Clearly he will get fitter and needs to but that’s not really my point. I’m just saying that in Daves case it’s not as important as it is with most other players. I just don’t think he will ever train enough to reach his full potential he just doesn’t have the mind set. Luckily for him and us it doesn’t make a huge difference. TBH if he loses half a stone and does 10,000 steps on his Fitbit he will be fine

| Our passing in general is sometimes what concerns me. I think we are small margins away from top 4. Passing quality is one of them. The mount of times brough and miller had to collect passes above their head or behind them was similar to how I felt our half backs had to receives them last year. That said, it is the first friendly of the season ffs. I think we will see a different Trinity at London and I can't wait. Thought physically we dominated in the first half with our best players on the pitch. It was positive.

| Andrew Fifta is not fit at all - he is just a better player than his brother.
they both struggle fitness wise - one can just manage it in the NRL the other cant.
