| Quote: Prince Buster "Here is another one, Slightly out of town from Foulby near the old Windmill pub at Crofton. John Harrison famous clock inventor and the guy who's clock eventually made Delboy his millions.'"
He lived on the Nostell estate; heading towards Wakefield on the Donc-W'field road, after the Nostell lake bridge, on the left are some cottages, that's where he lived and there is a blue plaque on the cottage wall. He was actually born in Barton upon Humber.

| There is a superb cover band called sunburst deluxe well worth a listen to when doing the rounds .
Sadly went to see bill nelson at the Irish club in Leeds a few years ago but no matter how many shouts from the crowd he plugged his red noise ,and wouldn’t entertain any old stuff.

Doesn't surprise me, he came over in past interviews as very arrogant.

I worked in Cas for thirty odd years and can't recal Newton hill club. One place that had bands on regularly early to mid 70's was the Trades and labour club which then became Langtree park, if I was guessing I'd have guessed there. I saw John Parr there probably mid 70's, he of St Elmo's fire fame.

| And lets not forget Horbury born architect John Carr (1723 - 1807). Harewood House just one of his designs and the wonderful St Peters church in Horbury.

Not sure but I think they stopped calling it Newton House club when they knocked the old club down, and renamed the new one the Roundhouse.
