| And if we don't up our game 100% it will end up being a cricket score...

Why would it be embarassing for Leeds?
You have your sights on a top 4 place and you are at home which should give you some advantage.
In the Super 8`s anyone can beat anyone.
Giants beat you, Saints beat Cas.
No reason why you couldn`t beat Leeds.
Hardly embarassing for Leeds if you do win tonight though is it?

| You make a good point. We have earned the right to be at least respected this year.
Leeds should expect a tough game whether we think so or not.

I think we are all just a bit numb after last Friday. But this is Trinity. We could be as brilliant tonight as we were abysmal last Friday.

Yep. Wouldn't be embarrassing for any SL team to lose to another for me. At the end of the day its one professional team vs another professional team on a level playing field give or take a bit of spend.

| Although Sal Paradise may be left a little red faced if we do turn them over. We could do with his (The below) post stuck to our changing room wall tonight..
"Leeds could field a weaker side and still win easy - I don't buy this "teams always raise their game against Leeds".
Wakefield made the 8 because Warrington/Catalans simply haven't shown up - they are a poor side full of very average players.
If Leeds have GF aspirations they should be beating side like Wakefield at a canter and I expect a wide margin of victory this week."

The fact that Leeds go into this game as the form team and are very strong favourites with the bookies, I think that Leeds would be very unhappy should they lose this one and they would finally have to give up any aspirations to the LLS.
Even Chris Chester seems resigned to losing and is looking "only" for a decent performance.
Realistically this is where we are at and although it would be great to see a Trinity victory, we know this aint going to happen.

That's the Spirit!
Even the bookies are only going Leeds to win by 10 so hardly predicting a thrashing are they?

I haven't got over last week yet or the shellacking that Salford gave us in the cup.
Let's face it, we arent usually very good under pressure and Leeds come to Belle Vue
.
Apart from the game against Wigan when they rested 11/12 players, they have beaten everyone bar Cas.
10 points on the handicap is quite a lot and perhaps their odds of 2/7 in a "2 horse race" is a better reflection of our chances.
I think our first choice 17, in good form, would make it an exciting contest but, even with just a couple of bodies missing and given our mickey poor form of the last few weeks, I think its going to be a long night.
Anything within 16 points would be a reasonable outcome and if we can be closer than that or somehow sneak a win, that would be superb.

| The attitude that we're only in the top 8s to make up the numbers absolutely infuriates me, over the course of this season we've been one of the top sides and could have topped the table had a few close games gone our way.
That being said I think the players are letting themselves down at the moment and I don't buy into this well we've made the top 8 so we've had a good season nonsense. The only way to improve in any walk of life is to keep pushing yourself. There's a cracking advert on the TV where George North looks in the mirror and says 'I'm going to get better, I'm going to get better, I'm going to get better'
That's precisely what we as a club (fans and players) need to do, yes we've made the 8 now we're going to get better, being in the 8 isn't enough, that's not us done for the season, we going for top 4. Get top 4 go for the final see if we can make history. On our day we can beat anyone, anywhere we just need to start believing it.

| I personally think it may be a close game.
I agree with not throwing the baby out with the bath water and making wholesale changes. After last week's performance I think it may be better to be very blunt with the players, but then give them chance to put it right. Say "right, show me that you care".
If we have a similar debacle as last week then fair enough.

| Jowitt misses out again, he must be at his wits end. I could understand keeping him out of the team when Grix was playing superbly earlier in the season, but Grix is looking burnt out now and in need of a rest

| Has Grix got some clause in his contract where, unless he's injured, he has to start every game?

| I'd like to see more of Jowett this season but from memory I can't think that Grix did much wrong last week. I think when he had a wobble earlier in the season was the time for him to be rested. I'd say CC has shown his hand and won't give him the FB slot unless absolutely necessary
