I don't usually go for the "no smoke without fire" gag but can't really see this not being a serious offence.'"
Totally agree,
Also if we are going to have a good pre season, I would have thought to have your first choice hooker signed up and settled in is a MUST !!!

Which could be difficult when MC is thousands of miles away on holiday, unless the signings are all signed and gonna be drip fed to us prior to Xmas to boost season ticket sales.

| Allgood is a big lad their is no doubt.
I don't really know him well so will wait to see what he can do but the front row is looking more like it.
Chester says he likes a big front row so it's obviously building that way.

Not much of him on youtube but he's a tough lad, likes to take on the opposition tough guys rather than the little fellow.

I'd be more than happy with that - also think Finn will do well at 9 and Wood is also a player who gets abuse on here for no obvious reason.
Harrison I assume would be a season loan as he's not going to let a testimonial go surely?

A loan would be the most likely option i'd have thought as his testimonial is under way. But given Warringtons signings in the pack then he is likely to be a bit off first choice there and i believe Wire also want to shift a bit of cap space to allow the signing of Kevin Naiqama.
As for Wood i think the thing is he's a different kind of hooker to Moore. We'd no doubt lose some bite in defence and maybe a little of the slight of hand that Moore was so good at but in return we gain more 'nip' out of dummy half and a better kicking game from the play the ball as well, which if we are going with a big pack is handy to have.
Question is to all his detractors, given the plan was to have Moore here and that is likely now not be the case and added to the fact that we have no overseas spots available, who else was a viable option?

He might if Warrington 'pay up' his contract.

| If Fifita opts not to stay, then a quote spot becomes available.
If we were realistically hoping to land Andrew Fifita, and there was money available, then would it be worth trying to use some of that moeny, to attract a certain young Warrington hooker over.

And who's paying for all that?

| At the end of the day here, Allgood plus one more who ever it may be is only replacing Anderson and Scruton. Hirst replaced Yates
Likewise with Moore, with him likely to be going, and all we are doing is replacing him with another hooker.
Bringing in another back rower, we had Howarth and Walton. Not to mention earlier in 2016, Shulver.
I don't actually think with the amendments to the above mentioned, with the inns and outs, our cap spend there would particularly increase by much.
Also, if Anthony Tupou doesn't come back, then there is cap space freed up there too.

Thats one way at looking at it.
You could also go further and say Hall and Owen replaced by Grix and Caton-brown. would suggest that's a break even but more like a saving.
So all in all , other than bringing in Williams very little investment.

| On Twitter Chris Chester has been quoted as saying we're close to signing an English forward, and looking at a few more props on the market, let the speculation begin.

presumably we will be saving moore, fifita, anderson, howarth, tansy, scruton, hall, yates, shelver, and owens (1o out ) wages which would go a long way
plus the increase in sl payments
so far signings are caton brown, hirst, williams, grix possibly all good 5 in even if we sign english prop its still 6
so unless they are on double money .........
