Have to say the new old badge looks quality and the branding looks very fresh. So much better than the Cat.

| It's a Fleur-de-lis. Why we have it is because the Club was founded by men from the Holy Trinity Church.

| Quote: Shifty Cat "It's a Fleur-de-lis. Why we have it is because the Club was founded by men from the Holy Trinity Church.'"
it translates into English as "Flower of the Lily" and its religious meaning was thought to represent The Holy Trinity; the Fleur de Lis on a blue backgound was also, for around 500 years until the 1970s the Coat of Arms of Wakefield Borough Council until Local Goverment reorganisation and we became a Metropolitan County Council.

| This seems a bit OTT, I'll admit, but for me the rebranding back to just Trinity is the best thing that's happened in years.

| Interesting debate this one.
In the context of the club, does it represent the Trinity part or the Wakefield part?
I guess it depends on when it was first used. I think the club was the Holy Trinity Club when it was first formed in 1873, but when did it change and when did it use the fleurs-de-lys?.

What is clear is that the mainly blue borough crest was replaced by a mainly black and amber one for the district in 1990. It says it's black (for coal) and gold, but it's quite clearly amber. Wonder why that is then?

I tend to agree. It could really do with a big press launch when we're ready, to get the message out (as Stevo once said).
If the merchandise is decent quality, it should sell really well this year.
All we need then is some success and a stadium and we're on our way.

Decent kit, some success, and a new stadium... Do you want the moon on a stick too?
What do you think this is, some kind of professional sports club?!?!?

Would that be the new floodlights?

You're correct but that's also sad when at most clubs it would just be a footnote.

| Despite being happy we are ditching the Wildcats thing, I wasn't sure on the new badge when I first saw it. It seemed like it was lacking a bit of overall polish and wasn't keen on the font. However after seeing it on that image with Johnstone, it looks really smart.
