On Bulls board, some wanting Mullally back, this after loads said he was lazy and unfit when he came to us after being on loan at Bulls. Classic!

You sure you're not thinking of Hudds fans Finger? He was only with us a month at the beginning of 2014 and played very well for us. All Bulls fans were disappointed to see him go back to Hudds.

out of the Salford team the only player of interest would be Murdoch-masila, been salfords best attacking threat all year and something we've often missed in the forwards this year

Apologies, it was a Shudds fan! icon_surprised.gifops:

Robert Lui has had some excellent games and is /was a decent tackler with an excellent kicking game.
When Salford were playing well he looked excellent.

Most of their other "top" players now seem to be at Leigh icon_surprised.gifops:

Agree with Wrencat about Robert Lui.

He is a class act who would make our backs really tick.

Get him signed!!

Here we go again, why would he sign for us if he's as good as you claim.

Good halfbacks are in short supply so I can imagine half a dozen teams with bigger wallets he'd rather join.

I admire your optimism but we need to be realistic. We know MC is a stickler for sticking to a budget and judging by our attendances that isn't a lot of cash.

He signed for Salford and Wakey are better than them icon_biggrin.gif

In fairness, I was putting his name forward as a "quality" Salford player, after others had said that they didn't have any players that we may want.

Good point.

However at a distance Salford with a big cheque book and a new stadium probably look pretty good - you only have to google Belle Vue to spot we are not.

I feel for MC and the staff, selling Wakefield to any player must be a nightmare.

Agreed.

Having Kear back on board should help.
IMHO he is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate blokes involved in the sport and he will be able to sell the "dream" (irony overload there) to youngsters, seasoned pro's and hopefully some decent overseas players.
If/when the ground improvements start, this will be a massive help in all areas and for this we keep everything crossed.

I would prefer Salford to go down as they would probably end up like the bulls when the Dr leaves . Hull Kr would probably still be full time and more of a threat to superleague sides this time next yr . The middle 8s would be a piece of cake for any superleague side next yr with Salford in the championship . The biggest threat would probably be London playing in some park

I just get that feeling it will be Hull KR for the drop

I've got a feeling half of the Salford players would prefer to go down so that there contracts are ripped up allowing them to bail . Probably all signed elsewhere

Should Hull KR stay up, I would expect to see them have a mass clear out.

I think one of their problems has been the fact that they have thrown a lot of money at 3 half backs, 2 in particular, and really kept their salary cap expenditure relatively low elsewhere, to stay within their budget and the cap.

Maybe some of the Salford players will be following Sheens.

Sheens announcing his move to KR, prior to the season ending, looks very unprofessional now.
It didn't look too clever at the time but, I suppose that Salford v KR (in the MPG)
perhaps seemed unlikely at the time but, as things have panned out, it really doesn't look good.

I know these guys are professional and all that but, just imagine if Salford consign KR to the Championship or if they are in front and then capitulate to give KR the win.

It's certainly going to end in tears but, at least they wont be our's !

i think Sheens has already said he has now pulled out of any further Salford input to avoid a conflict of interest.
