| If the club has been up front and said they know now they wont be offering them a contract extension for next year, i have absolutely no problem with players getting themselves sorted.

| We seem a little behind when it comes to sorting contracts out. Cas and Widnes seem to be on top of things. Players will want to know they can still make a living and I don't blame them one bit for securing a contract. It will be interesting to see who's taken the plunge and will be jumping ship come the end of the season.

| After all our squad were 80 mins from having their contracts ripped up last year, you cant blame any of them. This is the downside of the new format.
Having said that, if there is any truth in the earlier posted rumour regarding Nick Scruton (which i don't believe there is!) i'm not sure signing for HKR is improving your chances any? That is unless they are in a position to offer him the same contract irrelevant of which league they are in?

| Until Easter, we looked nailed on to be involved in the MPG again, and that comes with a genuine threat of relegation; in that circumstance, who could blame a player for lining up plan b? Things are looking a bit healthier now, so you'd hope that anyone who hedged their bets is less likely to press the button.

Pretty sure he will be talking about players out of contract at the end of the season - of which neither of these are.
If your out of contract you can pretty much sign in all but deed through the season, it's not technically leagal but let's be realistic.
Attempting to sign a contracted player is a whole different ball game.

| Carter did not state they were our players but you would presume so unless its us who have signed others, if a player had decided to go elsewhere there would be nothing to stop him changing his mind as technically its illegal so the club he had signed for would be in the wrong, just a thought.

| I interpretted it as he knows of players who have signed for clubs already while being out of contract, not necessarily that it was our players who have signed could of been anyones.
Reading through MCs twitter seems we are in negotiation with 7 of our current players for contract extensions/re-signings.

That is how I understood it.
