If we are anywhere near the cap, how much are other clubs spending. Warrington, Saints, Wigan, Salford, Huddersfield, Hull FC, Catalan, Castleford and Catalan are certainly spending way, way more than we are. Even Widnes & KR have more star quality

From what I hear I can't blame Brian Smith. No doubt there will be several others coming forward to do the job.
Whoever gets the gig will struggle with the squad we have and the resources they have to work with.
So I would like to wish our eventual new coach good luck because he will need it.

Once again the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be a train coming the opposite way. Bad times and i fear the worst for this club. There are a couple of other rumours flying around that may have had a bearing on Smiths decision. It's not good news however it is tried to be sugar-coated.

Surprised as I thought he'd made improvements since Webster was coach. Before he turned up I fancied us to beat you lot in the playoffs in 2015. After he arrived you were a different team.

You can't expect massive improvements given the resources available. Gradual improvement with some setbacks along the way was always likely.

Obvs he doesn't think he's getting the backing he needs.

Stuart has been the main coach all year . Smith has been here in name only just like sheens at Salford topping the pension funds up

I opened this thread hoping it was a wind up. Can't say I'm surprised, however I would have thought he would have stuck it out until half way through the season at the very least. So what are the rumors flying around that may have had a bearing on his decision?

Other than the Daily Stars "report" has this been confirmed because if it is true where have they got it from? Bad Day for us if true though IMO

I cant even think about the next coach, because I am hard pushed to think anyone would want the role.

People say bring back Kear. A different role altogether, but bring back Glover. At least he had some ambition for this club, I have not heard one bit of ambition coming from the mouth of Carter, along as they are in the black, he is happy.

I think had Glover been at the club with a strong CEO to guide him, he could have really taken this club forwards. Unfortunately since Carter has been here, we have gone from one disaster to another.

You would have thought Carter would have given Smith a bit of slack regarding this, as he is the only person who has had any sporting nous at the club since Kear

Really what has he done for club the answer nothing we are as bad this yr as last he is no big loss .

Congratulations to the experts who called for him to go! Don't know why he's gone but it's bad news for us.
I don't think there's a coach in RL who will get more out of the players than BS.
