Agreed. Personally I would prefer to be in the North Stand come Saturday. It's a better view and a better atmosphere (despite the occasional unpleasantry) with it having a roof.

However if the Club (Wakey) come out before Saturday and say the North Stand is home fans only then that's fine. I (and am sure many others) aren't going to risk missing the game just to force my way into a different stand.

If nothing is said about it before then though, people are going to get there assuming ground entry is ground entry and they're free to stand wherever they please, as is the case up at Odsal. I think that's where your problems might start if the Stewards start trying to move people when there been no prior notice of where they can and can't stand.

Quote: wrencat1873 "The lack of segregation is just a pitiful example of why some Wakefield fans have stopped supporting the club.

For the last 2/3 years we have ben told as home fans (regular customers) that we cant stand on the western terrace, that we cant enter through certain turnstiles, that we cant walk down certain parts of the ground etc, etc.

New rules come into force without any prior notice and many times for no obvious reason

I've followed the team sine 1981 and been a season ticket holder for the last 10 years so and contribute to the 1873, protested on the Town Hall steps, written to The Express etc, etc.

At the very time when the supporters would like some sensible segregation, to ensure that we can "enjoy" the game, our club are utterly useless.

I am totally vexed off with the treatment that we are getting here and really, this is simply not good enough by the club and their professional stewarding company.

This simply would not happen at ANY other professional club.

WHEN will the club put its own supporters first and make attending Belle Vue an enjoyable day out for the fans.

The nonsense that happened with the fans at the last Bulls game would not have happened if the Bulls fans had been on the Western Terrace and when our 2 biggest rivals (Leeds and Cas) have adhered to the "new" segregation rules, why the hell aren't Bradford being told to do the same.

PLEASE Mr Carter & Co, sort this out before Saturday and help your customers enjoy the afternoon as far as possible'"

Is he too busy sorting the new MPG t.shirts in the club shop?!....Pay £15 to advertise a largely forgettable season icon_eek.gif

It's not fine any announcement should have been made prior to tickets going on sale.

Each to their own, it's be fine by me and I'm not going to get all upset about it if they decide to segregate their own ground. All they need to do is let us know where we can and can't stand (if there are any restrictions put in place) before Saturday.

Due to the not so great view on the west terrace people may have decided to sit if the north stand is out of reach that's why it should have been stated before tickets went on sale.

Don't go being all sensible about it - some people are determined to be inconvenienced and you're taking the wind out of their sails.

It's as simple as you want to make it, when the stewards direct you to the western terrace you comply with their request, it only gets hard when you don't do as requested and you decide that you'll do what you want to. HTH

The seated tickets are a different price though. If you want a seat buy a seated ticket. I haven't paid to specifically be in the North Stand though, so if they decide to segregate and have us in the west one, then that's fine. So long as we know before we get there it's fine.

Was there supposed to be segregation at our last game? I only ask because I came in (in my Bulls shirt) through the turnstiles at the North Stand and actually walked out of and back to the North Stand before the game and the Stewards never mentioned it.

We quite happily stood on the western terrace for years (adults and kids)...the only place where the view is limited, I directly behind the dugouts. HTH icon_thumb.gif

See that Michael Carter has today confirmed that Bulls will be expected to use the West Terrace so it seems all settled.

Can understand why certain folk get upset as its not the greatest vantage point to watch (and i'm 6ft 3"icon_wink.gif but I genuinely don't think its worth such a long thread.

For me the issues at the last game a few weeks back was that I'd got my place in the North Stand with quite a few other Bulls fans and got told late on that we had to move. Had it been done from start there wouldn't have been a problem.

If we know what the deal is in advance... lets just get there, cheer on our respective teams and let the 34 players on the pitch settle it.

See you Saturday!!!!

Exactly mate, as Bren2K said some of the Bulls fans are intent on being inconvenienced.

Belle Vue is the oldest Rugby League ground in the World and people have been voluntarily standing on the West Terrace for over 100 years.
Now all of a sudden you can't see the game from there and the Bulls fans feel aggrieved.

Get over yourselfs!

Glad to see somebody has seen sense and tried to get the message out beforehand. Hopefully it'll be pushed again by the clubs on Friday so it cuts out aggro on match day. Probably would have been better to announce this at the same time as tickets went on sale but it's better than nothing.
