BTW - If you (or anyone else reading this)are planning to start any sort of public campaign to push primarily or solely for a redeveloped Belle Vue then at least please give us and those that have been working on this for many, many more years than even me, the opportunity to meet with you face to face, so we can tell you everything we know and have done to date and, why we would of course advise you against it!

We are going to be updating everyone very soon, and that may also may include another public meeting for those that want to understand the full picture, so we are going to be bringing up to speed on everything that happened since the last public meeting just before the general election.

Belle Vue will always have a special place in every ones heart that's a natural thing yes I would love her to have a re birth but there has to be a unified fight for something and I honestly believe that fight like it or not has to be Newmarket its what was promised now if along the way a very good offer of getting BV revamped then it could be looked at not jumped at as when you look back it has been a fight to even get this far...Said for a long time if you were a wealthy man you would look at BV and think yes it has history but to use it for other things to make money its not in the ideal spot ie for music concerts or such like being surrounded by housing. You would then look at Newmarket and think yes good road access but terrible train access so is in a bit of a bad spot so would look else where. As it is for me let those that have fought the battle so far continue and see what transpires we at least owe those people that what ever the outcome is.

Heard a rumour there was a secret supporters meeting held recently as rehards to staying at BV. Im guessing with IA's comments this could be true.

Thanks for all the updates IA and for all your hard work. To get over such an important point about a united voice in a few words is never easy. My view is you are 100% right. We're in a tough place at the moment and the other parties seem to be using strength to fight their corner and we must do the same. One voice fighting on one issue leaving no gaps which could be exploited by others to split us into factions fighting each other.

One Trinity, one voice.

To split into 2 factions now would be daft - and a rather a kick in the balls to those who have been working hard for years
re: this.

As sandcat20 posted - One Trinity, one voice.

Well done to all concerned.
The message seems to be clear to me - push for NM! I would personally love a redeveloped BV BUT rather than put in jeopardy everything done, then I am happy to aim for NM. Let's face it, we were very much in danger of being a nomadic club with no identity and no ground.
I will now get a season ticket - SL or championship.

I owe MC an apology. I thought he was going to takes us to Dewsbury which would have been a disaster. I was frustrated by the lack of news and secrecy. Well done MC. I will back you all the way to Newmarket.....

.. But please get help with your twitter addiction

I don't care what others say about Belle Vue.....I love it.....and will be sad to leave if ever the day materialises.

Best bit of news we've had for a while. Miller last week and now this. Let's hope in a few more weeks we can add another bit of good news!!

I fully understand the message you are making IA and from the passion in your comments it is clear how committed you are. People like myself don't see even half the work that you, TRB and many others put in. I do remember briefly speaking to you at the Ted Richardson share appeal meeting and am staggered at how long ago that was. This passing of time really emphasises how committed to the cause you and all others involved are. For that I am eternally grateful.

Personally, I would much rather stay at Belle Vue and have it revamped. Much for reasons other have cited even though NM would be more accessible for me.

However I fully understand your plea and that the effort was to get a Community Stadium. If we achieve that it is not just Wakefield Trinity who benefit but Wakefield as a whole. I will openly continue to support you and your team in your and our objectives to get the best outcome for Trinity. (If that in a round about way ultimately leads to us regaining title of the land of Belle Vue and a redeveloped stadium I will be exceedingly happy).

For now though well done MC and CB. I never criticised your decision to call notice on the ground. I fully understood the rationale behind it and realised it was a decision made out of financial necessity rather than dismissing history. The outcome has been fantastic and the reaction of many already vindicates the decision. (Such a shame so many were so critical during the process but I guess you need a very thick skin to be a chairman.)

The fact we are now finalising the legal terms to the rental agreement surely means that MC sees it as a financially viable solution for our mid-long term future.

Well done again.

Just a quick note - for those who were impatient for news (understandably), if there had been news 2 weeks ago it would have been Dewsbury. As I told people at the weekend, whilst there is no news, there is hope of a deal on BV.
Well done to all involved - we can now return to our working towards our long term future!

I wasnt too happy to be relocating to Newmarket originally because of the additional travel distance as i live 3 miles from belle view to the east of the city. However this will not be a problem when the new link road is complete linking heath common to aberford road so yeah im on board.

The value of Newmarket is never more plain than when we visit a Leigh or Hull KR or even Halifax and feel much more comfortable at their stadium than our own.
I love Belle Vue but it is old and holding the club back.
I'm really glad we don't have to go to Dewsbury but we have to keep focus on Newmarket as well otherwise we will never move forward (and we are already miles behind)

Flipping excellent news !

Much appreciation and thanks for those involved with this.
Lets hope we can stay in SL and get the Trinity bandwagon rolling again.

We've had enough pain over the last few years to last a lifetime.

Onwards and upwards

Glad to here we are staying and not moving to Dewsbury let's hope we can now move forward with Newmarket asap, to stop the monthly arguments on here because of the lack of news or progress. Great news congratulations to all involved.
