It's stating the obvious saying we need to replace the players who have left. I'm sure they are working on it to make sure they get the right players in.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me. WTRLC 2012 to 2014 "The wasted years" Magic Weekend "Whipping Boys" 2013, 2014 & 2015 2017 - The year the dream disappeared under Grix's right foot. 2018 - The FinniChezz Bromance 2019 - The return of the Prodigal Son. 2020 - Keeping the faith.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_2597.jpg

Think Salford had a bit more class on the field than Wakefield. Evalds, Chase, Paterson, Fages, Taylor and Hansen (ask Annakin!) wouldn't be out of place in any Super League side. How many of ours would even be wanted by Salford?

Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "We lost at home to the second worst team in super league who were also on a long losing run. The squad is too small and if we do not recruit to replace those we let go then those that played today both good and bad will be in the squad again next week. We can all look at the positives but this was a game any other season that we would have been disappointed to lose which suggests our levels of expectations this season are so low we will literally accept anything.
With regards replacements the club's situation is so bad that some of you would be happy for us to recruit anybody providing it is a body and they know how to put a Wakefield shirt on. We need good players to replace those that have left not just the cheap alternatives like Howarth.'"

State The blindingly obvious make it totally negative Forget about the positives bag howarth The guys that's done nothing wrong in my opinion. What players would you sign and wherefrom at this stage of the season

Our tackling was much better but we had to do too much of it due to the same old mistakes, panic plays, cheap penalties and poor last tackle options.

A bit more composure and thought today and it could have been a long awaited win.

Thought Simon was MOM by a mile.

Out of interest, who are the seven players missing from the Salford line-up?

I know Dobson wasn’t available & Tommy Lee (but he’s hardly Cam Smith)

Who else?

Today was much as expected.
A vastly improved "team" effort and players trying damned hard to win a game of RL.

We have lost our last however many games in SL and most by blowout scores so there was a definite improvement !

Tiny steps and next week we will be better again.

I don't expect victory next week but, hopefully we can run les Cats close.

To be fair to them they had four players that were named in their 19 man squad that pulled out through injury so it wasn't as strong as expected.

Is this a rhetorical question because that is the problem I am highlighting in that we have released players without having replacements ready to come in. I agree that at this time of the season we have very limited choice and I have no idea but to be honest it is not my problem it is for those that agreed to the termination of contracts to find suitable replacements. If they do not then they have further reduced our chances of staying in SL.
We had 19 fit players for today's game, providing we have not picked up further injuries we will have the same 19 next week however, if we have and none are ready to return we may not have enough to field a team, that is the position we are in. I read suggestions of signing players from Australia but this is no longer a quick process and the play offs may be over before they get here. We could look at those holding European passports but this again limits the choices open. With these problems it looks like we may have to settle for journeymen from the lower leagues as a quick fix but not a good one for our survival but good for the money saved in salaries even if it costs us dearly in the long run.

I don't think the club would be so stupid as to release players without identifying and lining up replacements (I hope).

For me the main thing to come out of the game was the improvement in effort both in defence and attack they kept going to the end and went beyond the 25 mins we gave it a go effort of what we had seen for many games before.Salford are not a top side but neither are some of the other sides we have been blown away by and had we played Salford a couple of weeks ago we would have had a big loss.Rome wasn't built in a day and 99% of the fans were there till the end and applauded the side at the end how many times has that happened this season so it appears a lot saw improvement
