| I'm not sure the number is that far out. I was in the North Stand at the corner near the main gate and it wasn't that busy. Only two-thirds of the seats were full, the East Stand standing had plenty of spaces and the Rovers fans only occupied the centre of the West Stand. My worry about the attendance is that I would say about 30% of the crowd was from Hull.
By the sounds of it, the entry system does need sorting. As people have said, entry into Cats bar should be via the ground only if people can't be trusted to pay up. The questions are:
- What happens if you walk into Cats bar and you are a cash payer? Do they take £22 from you?
- If not, how do they stop those walking into the ground without paying?
- If you pay cash at the turnstile and walk into Cats bar from inside the ground, how do you prove you've paid?
If they take cash from you at the door, it's not a problem. They can note season ticket numbers as you come in. If you need to nip out for a fag, get your hand stamped, as someone said. Not exactly 21st century, but if people realise they can get free entry by walking in through Cats, they will.

| OK my experiance, I'm a season ticket holder and got to the ground early, was 1:30 I wanted to purchase a shirt and had to go in to the ground to get one. So I went to the cats bar, and was told I could get a drink etc but I had to enter to the ground through a turn style. Anyway I decided to get my shirt 1st and have a drink later. Only place I could find open was the hospitality entrance, I explained what I wanted to do showed my card and was let in. I asked about scanning my card and she said it was OK.after purchasing my shirt I went up stairs to cats bar and wasn't asked for it again, so really I guess I could have had my drink 1st then gone down stairs to get shirt, as no one asked to see my ticket again .

| I too though it looked fuller but Carter is a straight up guy so I can’t see any reason why he would round the crowd down. A few quid could be saved but a 5.3K crowd is ammunition for the many outsiders who don’t want this club be in SL.
The big task for him and his team is what to do to increase it. A performing team will of course help, however its needs more. How much money there is to promote the club in Wakefield I’m not sure, but I’ve said it for many years know you could practically walk round the city and not know there was a game on or that Wakefield Trinity even existed. The key is to bring he club to the potential consumers. The Sainsbury’s bag packing is an ideal example simple without costing much money and has the added bonus of being charitable.

| Daft as it sounds but the new rule about being able to nip out for a ciggie at half time will help.
I know a few smokers who will come back who didn't go to the KR game as they didn't know about this.
Every little helps!

| One obvious thing needs doing to bring the crowds back and that's to sort out the ground situation. I know that's out of our hands to an extent, but leaving yesterday I thought Belle Vue looked particularly decrepit. On a grey and cold February Sunday, it was like going back fifty years.

| 50 years ago it was better!
Three stands, terracing less patched etc and obviously did not look then as decrepit as it appears now: because ,statement of obvious, it was 50 years younger.
Oh and it held over 20000.
Was there for the famous Wigan cup tie when ,I think , 27000 were in attendance.
