Is he available? If so then it's a definite yes. He's getting but would still be the best full back this club has had in the SL era. Also he is consummate pro for young Jowitt to learn from.

I actually don't know whether he is available but they were considering not giving him a contract for this season and gave him a squad number as a late decision.
They were lucky they did as he has had astorming season and with injuries to Lomax, Walsh and Wilkin he has pretty much lead them single handed to the Grand Final.
He'd be worth looking at but I can't see it.
There are other teams nearer home that would want him.

Yes but how many of those teams will already have a fullback in place for next year? I think were probably one of the only clubs in the league without a specialist FB in our squad.

That said I cant see Wellens going anywhere, I think he will be kept on at saints in some sort of role.

Manu is retiring - he recieved a special recognition award at the mos awards with the other retiring players.

Wellens won't be going anywhere - he is good friends with McManus, and will just bash it out at the end of the year (it wasn't not part of the plan last year as suggested above, he just, rarely, doesn't rely on an agent to do these things) - he will join Cunningham once he's done.
