Think I saw Julian ONeil smoking as he drove away from KC after a game.

Bet quite a few players smoke.

When Wally Lewis signed for us I arranged to meet him in the Clubhouse (Cats Bar) to give him a Trinity pullover, tie etc. When I got there, there was Wally with a pint of lager in one hand and a cigarette in the other hand. Didn't seem to affect the way he played.

Also when in Perpigan I saw Oliver Elima and another Catalans player walking through the town both smoking.

As I say probably more common than you would think.

I think it's more acceptable on mainland Europe to smoke so more people still partake. Even women! "Yuk"
There was a famous French R.L. player called Puig Aubert who smoked during games! His nickname was "Pipette" which was a reference to his smoking habits. He apparently played in a game against Wigan (which was played in a snowstorm), and caught the ball with one hand whilst holding a cigarette in the other hand

If he performs, don't care if he smokes.
