| Quote: Mick Amos 9 WTW "I support the club and the tremendous work they have done. However as I said previously this situation needs taking care of. I'm well aware there seems to be a lot of fans who moan and are generally negative about anything. However in this case there are many justified reasons to constructively send your complaints to the club. Policies & guidance are in place but if members of the security team are being overtly aggressive, confrontational & lacking common sense then the club need to know. I'm sure if you contact them in a sensible way explaining your concerns they will look into it!
I was contacted by another long term fan who also seems to have had a very negative experience at the hands of the stewards. The club put trust in the security team to be fair but firm. It is a tough job but we cannot let this get out of control and upset good fans by poor judgement by the stewards.
I'm sure the club would be upset too if people's poor treatment proves to be true. They pay good money for security & but trust in their work ethic.'"
I have now contacted the club to let them know what happened , the lady I spoke to was the same lady that let me in through the other entrance and new about what had happened. This is the first time in 30 years I've had a complaint and hopefully it will be sorted so no one else will have the same problem. A bit of common sense on this occasion by the steward would have been good.

| More to the point when we are talking about babies/toddlers bottles.
If the steward genuinely thought they had alcohol in them, they should be reporting you to the police.
They were clearly just being a jobsworth for the sake of it otherwise there would have been an actual issue to report.

| I know we changed security comapnies this season, but some/a lot of the security staff are the same.
A change in company isn't likely to bring an improvement if the staffing was the problem and is the same.

| The security industries gone through a number of changes over the last few years. I would be very interested to know who provides the service now. It used to be provided by an approved contractor. All employees of that company were licensed and trained. They will also have been vetted and had to provide a 5 year work history. I take it the present provider came in cheaper.

I can assure everyone in the North Stand (and any security operatives scanning this site) that I am not, nor do I intend to be, a flask bomber; I just want a decent chuffin' brew!

Demand a statement from the club!
I'm begining to feel like some sort of second class supporter after reading the various threads on here. I turn up, watch a game of rugby, applaud the team then go home. No lock-outs, confiscations or strong feelings about the coach dropping players.

| I wonder what rules will be enforced against Hull on Sunday by the stewards. Maybe the club could converse with the stewards and show them the statement they released last week and they could attempt to adhere to it. Or we could continue to let certain jobsworths make up there own rules and target specific people and let others through. Im by no means having ago at all the stewards because some seem to be pleasant and have an ounce of common sense. However i expect the club will not apologise to fans regarding the last two home games because fans should know the specific rules for specific games regarding what is and isnt allowed in on each particular gate by each different steward. Best game of the season last week ruined for me and the friend i took for the first time.

| I have to say, for all my outrage on other people's behalf, I have never had a problem with the security staff.
As Wollo says, I just come and watch a game, bring the occassional bottle of Sun cream or bottle of water, which will clearly now be sealed.
I don't need a pee so not worried about bulbs.....I go before I set off like my mum tells me.
I don't need a statement explaining why players are not in the team.
I just want to watch a game of rugby.
Saying that, I don't like the taking drinks off kids and things like that. Club needs to sort that out.

| Was there an improvement on this policy this week?
It's not something that affects me particularly so I don't see it but interested to know if the security policy had noticably changed?

| I know of one long term supporter who was refused entry yesterday with his bottle of orange cordial by one steward, something he has taken in most weeks for more years than he can remember. He went to another gate asked the steward there if it was ok to go in with it to which he replied yes. The gentleman entered the ground. The original steward spotted him in the ground with said bottle shortly after kick off and proceded to frog march him out of the ground despite it being ok'd by his colleague. The fan, a guy in his late fifties who attends with his wife, brother and sister in law is so disgusted at his treatment he will not be returning anytime soon and neither will any of his usual party.

| Are we suggesting certain stewards are targeting certain fans at certain gates.
Who would believe that.

| Well I never have a problem with the stewards but then again I don't take my own drink into the ground as I know it's not allowed. I go watch the club I support and if I need a drink I buy from the ground which is allowed and also benefits our club in the process. TRINITY FOREVER
