Officially RLFAN's most Doe-eyed Happy Clapper. Big Steve wrote: The Internet has provided some wonderful creativity, opportunities and knowledge sharing but it has also given a worldwide forum for people you would leave a full pint behind in the pub to avoid having to listen to them. aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg

Quote: jonh "Would have been a disgrace had Wigan sneaked that. Trinity dominated from start to finish.

Forwards bullied the Wigan pack and I even thought Mathers went well.

Trinity totally out enthused the Wigan team.

Well done Trinity. That win must secure SL status for 2015.'"

CHRIST!!!! Were we that bad!!

Amazing what happens when the players put everything into it. Said a bit ago that this team was much better than it was showing and today proved that. Not perfect but much much better and that was great to see. And with other quality players to come into the team a good end to season is awaiting us if we want it enough. Lets back it up next week now.

just got back and must have watched a different game to you lot! No mention of a perfectly good try for wigan disallowed - who was keeping who in the game? Good display by wigan today given the team we had out and inexperienced bench. As with Cas, you would think you had won every cup in thr comp, not just beaten an under strength wigan team. Well done on the win

Ah, I think you are mixing us up with fans that care who we beat to get our points.
Those kids beat Salford and others so it's a good win for us no matter what you think.

You see this is where it's much easier being a supporter of some clubs than it is others. Wigan fans have been spoiled to death with success over the past - god knows how many years- but if a struggling team actually beats them they don't know how to take it; they have to fall onto an excuse, i.e. young inexperienced players (who would walk into 95% of SL teams every game) I just wander what their great support would be like if they had had the trauma our club have endured not just recently but over the last 30 years -and not a trophy in sight!
You must forgive us for celebrating - your team may have put in some great performances for most of the season, for me our season kicked off today - it's the first time I have seen a team performance from Wakefield this season!

Except forward passes aren't allowed under the rules so it was correctly disallowed. Although i'll concede that you do usually get away with them so i can understand your confusion.

Is there any particular reason other than the obvious why you chose that user name?

I think the team today shows that Webster makes his team selection based on the opposition rather than a name or what some of our couch coaches think. I wonder if the usual suspects will crawl from the shadows to berate Mathers or Washbrook's performances today.
I notice a thread was started criticising the dropping of Walshaw at the expense of Lynne but we won so must give Webster credit for being his own man.

Well to say we are out of the cup (no chance of winning it any way) and Wigan are out of the it with just the title and old Trafford to play for you would have thought with the thrashings Wigan have handed out in the last 2 games they would have torn us to bits.Alas the mighty have fallen to a crap side who wanted it the most who could see that one coming. How the hell did the ref not see the obstruction for the Wigan try let alone the forward pass just before from Matty Smith after penalising us for the exact same blatant thing god knows.A win is a win and will take it even if its an under strength side that has scored lots of points in the 2 previous games.was saying to my lad when the side came out to warm up that you could see they wanted it.

I know the obvious thing will be to get the dvd to see it all and the little incidents that resulted in the ref getting a lot of abuse. But will there be any highlights available on facebook that will show some of the fights and offside decisions rather than just watching try highlights that SL like to give us which don't tell any story of the game

Quote: Adam_Harrison9 "That's the reason, as a supporter of a club that struggles year in year out, that you continue to turn up and watch because that performance feels like it's worth the 200 quid alone. Will have a smile for a week. Fantastic team performance and can't say a bad word about any player. That is the attitude, endeavor and commitment we should be playing with week in and week out.

Is that the best you've got you petty little man. I've never down played tim smith contribution I just don't happen to believe he's as important as you obviously do - sad you can't grasp the concept of freedom of opinion, enjoy your evening,

I wonder if people like Vastman will continue to downplay Tim Smith's contribution to this team over the past 2 years?'"
