Quote altofts wildcat="altofts wildcat"I agree with what you are saying and I am sure every club would love a new stadium but my point is that without franchising there is no longer the rush so there is no need for clubs to push their finances in order to get a new stadium.
I would love to see us at Newmarket and It would be nice not to have to go the Wheldon Road anymore but my point is that there is no rush and a shiny stadium is no longer the necessity it was perceived to be 3 or 4 years ago.'"
From a franchise POV there is no rush, but from a sustainable business POV, maximising its assetts in order to grow the business and therefore improve the future of the club both on and off the field it is still a massive priority.
We really do need to see some progress on this in the near future.
Regular updates from all parties would be ideal, even if it is just to reinforce where we are if there is nothing new to report. NM is in danger of being forgotten by the public and while i appreciate there is little the wider public can do about pushing it on, if it is gone from public perception is there the need or desire to keep it moving forward by all those involved as we need it to be?
I'm sure these projects, seemingly nailed on get shelved all the time, the longer they go on as sometimes requirements, legislation etc change.
I am not privy to what goes on, but to me at times this seems almost dormant.
