| Lee Smith did ok at Wakefield but as said previously he's not the player he was 5/6 years ago and doesn't have the pace he once had.
He's moving to a struggling rugby union team on an 18 month contract so for him career wise it can only be for financial reasons that he is going back to Union which he did not take to when last playing it for Wasps. They think he can play across the back line?
Also as others have said he's going but who is coming in? If it's someone like Will Sharp then that's a reasonable replacement. If it's to make space on the salary cap for Siejka then we will struggle with strength in depth for our outside backs. If 3/4 are coming in after he goes then that must suggest another inflated contract like that of Mellars that had been given to Lee Smith?

I don't get worried if a player seems to be carrying a bit of weight, there's a saying [i"don't be fooled by the physique[/i" for me the main priority is there fit. Take a look at Wigan fullback matty Bowen for a prime example.'"
Well Jarrad Hickey certainly fooled us. Often true though, there's been plenty of 'little' men who could tackle like the clap of doom and plenty of 'big' men who could shift a bit.

( would add Collis but he is always injured and can only ever play at 50% capacity ). Honest tryers like Gerrmond are good and will keep the scores against us down to around the 60 point mark. Lee Smith was a proven match winner. Lets hope CH and MC have some real quality lined up to replace him. Londons squad no looking stronger than ours.'"
I respect everyone's right to have an opinion, but yours is just wrong you miserable bugger.
Take no heed of him, he's always like this. This is a bloke who showed so much support during the Judgement Day game that he was in the bath during it, with no radio! It's just not normal.
Otherwise he's not a bad lad!

Lee Smith has lived off the back of that man of the match performance for far too long now. He hasnt shown anywhere near that performance while at Wakefield, so him leaving doesnt bother me tbh.

| Lee Smith has been a great player in his time, he's done well for Wakefield without ever being near the player he once was whilest at Leeds. In a semi-decent Wakefield team he was occasionally capable of coming up with a pkay that changed the course of a match.
In the team we'll put out this year and in the basement battles we'll find ourselves in we need players who will scrap, fight, go where it hurts and put their body on the line game in and game out, that's not Lee Smith!
Good luck Lee, thanks fr your contribution during your time as a Trinity player.

Sorry for my ignorance didn't realise Oulton Raiders Under 9's had played in Grand Final.

| Lee Smith is a good player who gets on the end of broken play, plays.
Leeds had plenty of players that could create that chance, Wakefield don't.
I think we have seen the best of Lee Smith with the players that have been around him, don't think we will see anything more from him.
He has served us pretty well, won a few matches with crucial tries but if the club can get a bit for him and use his contract money better elsewhere, i'm ok with that.

| Foster looked ok in the Saints side, did ok in the Hull side, not enough for Hull to offer him a contract.
Bradford signed him probably as a replacement for Ah Van, unfortunately different types of player.
If Foster does come to Wake, will probably be hit and miss as he will be coming to another club that is struggling a bit.
If he gets a centre that looks after him, either Collis or Keinhorst, both can defend and Collis can definitely pass a ball, he could be a decent signing for the right money.

| Not overly bothered with Smith going. He always struck me as a player who didn't want to be here in the first place and was very lethargic when he did play. He was awful at fullback, not so great at stand off and was hit and miss in the centre. The only major thing that will be genuinely missed are his conversions and his excellent drop goals. Just annoyed Cowling left before Smith has.

| Newcastle fans not happy, he will be missed IMO. Shame he lost a yard or 2 of pace, he could make the break but then he'd be running in sand.
Waste of a very promising career.
