| People moaning because RL doesn't get enough mention in national press. Well this fiasco should get it in the press with most readers having a good laugh.

| Quote: deeHell "So if you start 2015 in the Championship you'll have considerably less TV money and be running mostly a part time team. To gain promotion you would have to get the better of the 4 weaker SL teams. If thats the case you've effectively got rid of P&R because the Championship teams will never cut the grade. The consequences off finishing in the bottom 2 this year is not worth thinking off.'"
I disagree with your conclusion here.
If one (or more) of the SL clubs have struggled throughout the season and a couple of the CC clubs have been on fire, there will very likely be 1 or 2 of the second tier swapping places with one or 2 from the top 12.
Taking our friendly result to one side, Fev have shown that they are capable of beating SL opposition (Cas) and the gave Wigan a pretty good game.
They would probably only need 1 win against SL opposition and to beat the other CC clubs to gain promotion.
Bear in mind that they will get more money than they have had previously, albeit considerably less than their SL rivals.

| Out of interest when 2015 arrives is it the bottom 2 from S/L 2014 that go down or will all the 14 teams have to apply for the 12 positions as this hasn't been confirmed yet

I think your understating the difference between both leagues. The full time/part time playing budget thing is just too big to get over. The fact that most of these SL full time players will be playing to preserve the status of their careers (full time pros) will be a massive telling factor. Throw into the mix the fact that SL teams would of had a full season of full time training and full match fitness. I don't care what Championship team beat what SL team in a one off game they are simply not going to do it over at least 7 games in a mini league( if thats the format?).

| As I said at the start of the process - it was obviously a fait accompli and the RFL were going to do whatever they had to do to get it passed; they've got what they wanted now, Big Nige is safe in his reinforced seat and we can all sit back and witness the car crash.
The biggest, most ridiculous retrograde step in RL since the professional era began; I'm stunned.

| Bottom 2 teams relegated at end of 2014. As far as i know. Would be interesting If a club that normally does well struggles and is allowed to do what Wigan did a few years ago. Also It mentioned on radio Leeds that 4 teams could be relegated from SL but this also means that the bottom 4 that slip into the middle 8 could retake their place in superleague again and the top 4 from Championship stay in second twelve for following season thus changing nothing. Someone mentioned that there is to be 700k cap in championship but its still a lot less than SL. Also teams could see half way through the season were they are and If not in with a shout of top 8 You could see a lot of squad rotation just keep team fit for Vital games.

| Wouldn't worry, this fiasco has three seasons to run before they concede they screwed up again and revolutionise the game by reverting back to an old format.
It's a shame they cannot see that franchising is the way forward and just needed tinkering with. But this is Rugby League, a sport which seems set on self destruction

| Its ridiculous to the extreme!
If the RFU wanted to finish off Rugby League they'd hatch a plan to plant someone like Nigel Wood at the helm of the RFL so that he could consistently come up with hair brained ideas like this one and remove all credibility from the game.
We now have a stupid situation where, theoretically, you can finish 8th in the league and be crowned champions while at the same time you can finish 11th with more wins and more points than the bottom team but still get relegated while they survive.

| Asking part time players to play professionals in several games back to back. H & S risk?

| Well at least all the Fev fans are happy as they see this as a route into the big time.

| just one of the questions this system poses is the 8 team play offs are one game against each team, the most vital games of the season how do they decide where they play the game?

Can't answer that exactly but I do remember at the Bret Solly evening at Carlton CC, he did say that all the championship clubs would have the extra home game.
