I think I read in either the LE or RLW that he was free to move on at the end of the season and was looking to use the WC as a chance to impress a potential SL suitor.

Finn has been replaced by Moore and has been told to find a club as he is not wanted. There will be no transfer fee but the factor will be whether wakefield can pay him what he currently earns from Fev and his business.....that's where the problem is. If fev are replacing him with someone who has a better kicking game, is much quicker, more prolific and a lot younger what does that tell you.....

Finn still got year left on his contract at Fev. Apparently he was going to Fax but we wanted him to stay.

We have signed Moore, still got Briggs and kain and Mendeika played stand off for Ireland in WC, So we probably got the half back positions covered if he was to leave.

He has lost a lot of pace and doesn't make the breaks as often, and hes never been the most creative with the ball. His goal kicking is fantastic, but tactical kicking not the best although it did improve 100% this season with the arrival of Sean long as temporary coach.

To be Honest when is was rumored he was going to fax, opinion was pretty divided on whether it was a good or bad thing. Lots would be glad to get rid of him, while he cant do any wrong for others

Personally from what I have seen of Moor I think we have a good replacement should Finn leave

Finn played in the first team not reserves.

On odd occasions...He signed in the closed season before 2004 season (i wrote a poem based on the captain beaky song which refered to his signing along with Solo and Sid Domic) Rooney and Jeffries were first choice halves ... Then when Rooney got crook.. Gaz Ellis played 5/8th right through to the end of the season.

Don't remember Liam getting too much game time...

its Gareth Moore the half back who is at Batley , well now Fev. He was on our books 2 seasons ago

The Gareth Moore who many on here said wasn't good enough for superleague yet has been signed by Fev as he is deemed a better option in the championship than Finn.

For the record Finn made two appearances for us in 2004, one of which was off the bench.

Hmm you should know who has Moore is then ? As he played 7 for us a couple of seasons back.

I liked Moore good kicking and passing game and was quick just lacked a bit of physicality.

Fining won't offer anything spectacular, he would offer some organisational skills, and a good kicking game.

Sorry mate.. There is not much in the Sydney press about the comings and goings of Batley and Fev... I was already in Australia when he was on the books... Not seeing the players week in, week out, one loses track.
