What exactly have you been told, because you allude to much but offer little.

| It will be a sad, sad day for us if we do lose those 2. And unfortunately something many, many fans wont understand, or get over. Will also kill any chance of finishing top 12 next year, in my eyes...

| I wouldn't have thought that any decision to sell players (other than ones who want to go or we others we feel can go) would have been made prior to this evening's meeting (which is basically a fund raising activity, although there are other aims). If the money has already been raised by Dr Devil and his generous offer, then this would take the pressure off. Has meeting been cancelled ie not required, has it buggery!

| From a Salford fan who isn't in the know, trust me, if we have signed the 2 players mentioned I have real mixed feelings. I always want my club to sign quality players, and sadly we have not done this too often in the recent past. But the quality players we did sign were sold on to rescue us from financial Armageddon. It is a recent memory and still hurts, so know exactly how you are feeling and if it is any consolation, I know it is a horrible feeling. I hope Wakey get out of their current mess, the heartland clubs need to survive for the future of the game. Best wishes and good luck. By the way haven't a clue if we have signed anyone.

Salford got a decent wedge for Myler, didn't Ratchford leave at the end of his contract
As for the other three, you got transfer fees for them, shouldn't you be showing gratitude to their clubs, like we are expected to do to yours?
Going to be interesting to see the attendances for your home and away fixtures against Hudds.
What has the value of the transfer fee got to do with anything? The comparison I was trying to make was we as Salford fans know the feeling to have your best players taken from you in the midst of a crisis.
Nobody is expecting any gratitude from Wakefield fans. I'm just glad to see another club (luckily us) able to bid for players like Rangi Chase, Tim Smith, Gareth Hock and if it's to be believed Danny Kirmond rather than the usual brigade.
I'm not sure the relevance of attendances either, but for what it's worth I expect our average to go back up to around 5,500 next season (as it was in 2012) if not even higher.

Whoopedoo for you; perhaps if you want to feted for your awesome insider knowledge, you should go post it on the Salford board, rather than baiting people on here?

| Bill52 sums it up nicely where as the other condesending Salford fans are really rodding me off.
Why feel the need to come on other clubs forums spouting about signing their best players then apologising for it?
I like Koukash and the money he is ploughing into your club but please stop acting like the Harry Enfield character "Loadsamoney". Yes we know you have money to spend and we are up sh*t creek but imagine owning a £200k house with lots of debts and some rich to55er comes along, offers you £100k and apologises for it???
FWIW I hope you do well next season as it's nice to see the so called smaller clubs get a windfall but cast your mind back a few months and think about how you were feeling at the time.

I apologise, got my 'John Gilbert Reds' mixed up with my 'redtillamdead79s'.
I understand the point you are making but out of all the players you have mentioned, M.Smith would be the most difficult one to lose.
When 'redtillamdead79' comes on banging on about how we should thank the DR from the bottom of our hearts and be forever in his debt, for 'looking after us', that's a bit too smug for me.

You'd think, given our (Salford's) recent history, that we'd be a bit more understanding of the plight of other clubs in trouble. To be fair, I think the vast majority of us are. There's just the odd one or two (Red League is the other one to watch out for) who feel the need to go on other clubs' forums and tell everyone 'what they know' (or claim to know). I've never understood why they feel the need to do this - particularly as they so often seem to be wrong - but they do. Please don't think they are typical of Salford fans in general. Most of us know what you're going through, and know how crap it feels.
Best wishes for the future.

Wow you really are a bright one aren't you? Please point me in the direction of my baiting and awesome insider knowledge. Clown.

Matty Smith was by far our biggest loss. Our performances last season noticeably deteriorated without him in the team. Holdsworth and Moon were still big losses for us though and it hasn't surprised me to see how well they've done for Leeds and Hull.
Nobody should be in anybody's debt, the majority of Salford fans didn't enjoy the manner in which we signed Tim Smith. We empathise with the situation you find yourself in. I just hope Wakefield are fairly financially reimbursed for the loss of any of your star players.

| Holdsworth and Moon, whilst being big losses are overseas and replaceable. It's when you lose your British players that the situation becomes worse.
