| I could be wrong, but I don't think 'under-capitalised' means we have to find £400k right now; it means we're currently forecast to spend £400k more than we have coming in. Doesn't it?
If we're simply in a £400k sized hole and immediate remedy is required, then I guess we should be told that in clear language.

| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "So, if Benny goes to KR plus the Amor money that’s around £80k, nowhere near where the club has to be.
Even if you add on Kirmond, Collis & Aiton I can’t see the club pulling in £300k from the sale of all of them.
There’s going to be a bit of brinkmanship from the other clubs, especially if they can pick up a player for peanuts if the administrators get involved.
The vultures from Huddersfield & Hull will then come a calling, either way we’ll be left with a similar squad to 2011 & a similar finishing position.'"
would you also say Salford and st Helens were vultures too!? picking off your better players!

| No. They paid large amounts for those players. Not derisory sums whilst in administration.

'I need £400,000 in the next couple of months, be it player sales or new investment. We're cutting costs as well but thats ontop of that'.
The words of Michael Carter in his press conference. Says to me we need the 400k right now AND find extra for the future.

And that, I guess, is why people are not too keen to dismiss the mistakes of the very recent past; it's grim and there needs to be some accountability and some sense that those mistakes won't be repeated.

| I get the impression some people at the club would be very happy if we forgot about the past and just got on with trying to sustain a future.
People need to be accountable for their actions it's that simple

| Looking back now it must have been ridiculously hard to make those decisions which have ultimately put us in deep waters.....
Chasing the dream of top 8 success and building on that while at the same time aiming to please the RFL....
Put yourself in the position of those who had to make those decisions.....we'd just finished the season on a real rollercoaster.....seven consecutive wins, put in a great effort at Headingley against the reigning champions just missing out on progressing.....
There will have been teams sniffing last year for the likes of Kirmond....Amor, maybe Smith and a few others........there will have been players who will have played their way to improved terms......Now imagine the fans reaction, on the back of that end to the season if someone had foreseen the problems we are at now and decided to sell a couple of our star players.....how would fans had reacted then......they maybe thought they had to bury their heads in the sand a bit and hope and pray we could build on what we had done the previous season...
We bowed down to pressure in costly ground improvements, that with the benefit of hindsight have done us absolutely no good whatsoever.....
To try and keep building attendances (maybe another thing to impress the powers that be) we went with the cheap tickets again......another thing that could have paid a huge part in crippling us......It's ok people saying.....how come we are struggling when our attendances have gone up so much and we are averaging around 8k......well.....8k sounds good, but if you break it down and think of the cheap adult tickets that works out at probably less than a tenner a game, and then the amount of concessions.....oap's.....junior tickets......how many of that 8k crowds were juniors?.....at £25 a season ticket that works out at under £2 a game from what i'd say was a decent number of that 8k.....
Then, at the start of the season our main sponsor going belly up! In tough financial times with companies struggling up and down the land you would have put your house on the scrap game being as safe a bet as any to be doing well.....
These things shouldn't have happened, but times are tough out there.....I work on an industrial estate and in the last 12 months 3 of the units around us have closed down, probably to the tune of about 3-400 jobs.....
Trying to deliver a top 8 side with our resources has nearly killed us.....chasing the dream.....I can see why it happened when you take everything into account....
It also worries me that with the knowledge before the Cas game of what situation we were in that the crowd was only 6,400.......I know people have questioned that figure but there was a lot of empty spaces in the North Stand......Cas brought as good a following as any team has to Wakey this year.....the place should have been packed to the rafters.....the fact it wasn't in our hour of need is surely a very, very worrying thing.....Do the people of Wakefield really want a Super League team, because if they do things need to start happening now....

They sure do. And i'm afraid after two financial meltdowns in under three years its going to be a difficult and lengthy process to build up the trust of the supporters again. To think that people will just wipe the slate clean again, dig deep and start again is a nice thought but highly unlikely i'm afraid. And its that which worries me the most, that many who are probably not hardcore fans, or ones that have grown weary of it all, will this time just walk away.

46343_1394123827.jpg 'Its like the jungle out there, only the strong survive and the weak get killed off and that's whats happened in Hull. They'll run to the end of the season then that's it, they'll be gone, there will be no more Hull Kingston Rovers there's no room for them.'

| I really hope you guys get out of this mess and can build a sustainable future. 2 financial meltdowns in 3 years isnt good going but you survived last time I hope you can do so again, hopefully for good this time. Seems like youve been a bit unlucky with your sponsor going belly up but obviously there is still accountability for whats happened, the sad thing is its the fans who love their club who suffer. Stick together guys and im sure those with Wakefield Trinity in their heart will still have a club to support whether that be in SL or not

I agree with all this, especially the last part. Was quite disappointed with the crowd. And it certainly wasn't the Cas part of the crowd that was the problem.

PT - do you think it was a true reflection of the actual crowd ? Could past (inflated) attendance figures from this season have made it look disappointing to the un-trained eye like myself ?

| So can someone clarify for me, we've sold Tim Smith for £140,000 ( I'm assuming he was on £70,000 a year) Kyle Amour for £40,000(again I'm assuming he's on £40,000 per year) and possibly Ben for £30,000, that makes a total of £210,000, does that mean the club/speccis need to find another £190,000, or is this money being used now and we still need to find £400,000?

I was under the impression the £400k the club are undercapitalised was divulged after Tim Smith’s transfer & I don’t think they got anywhere near £140k.
Amor, £50k, Benny £30k if it comes off, therefore I would say that’s in the region of £320k still to find.
