Why Goulding, he can't even get a game at Dewsbury after Donny showed him the door - his dad was good don't assume it's been passed on - the lad will be out of the game let alone the club unless he makes a huge improvement.
Do your research Wilzay old boy and don't pick the team please

Are you bi-polar?
Cowling has a lot of promise but brilliant - since when.

| Think the 17 will be...
Mathers
Fox
L.Smith
Mariano
Cockayne
Washbrook
T.Smith
Poore
Aiton
Amor
Annakin
Lauitiiti
Kirmond
Subs. Wilkes, Raleigh, Wildie and Trout. Need an experienced SL player at 6 and Washbrook did ok the other week. Too short in centres to move L.Smith over and Wildie/Goulding not up to it.

For me its definitely a no to Washbrook at 6, however I think you are right that Agar will select him there. Swap Annakin and Kirmond around and I think you have it.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.: |
|
| I suppose washbrook may settle at 6 for first quarter to soak up some mid field tackling the matyne we will see Goulding when Leeds starting props have had their stint.
Be interesting to see how agar plays this one.

Slightly nervous on if he'll perform or not having pressure being the only one who will probably kicking - unless Goulding comes on from the bench if hes picked there. Also maybe Wildie could do a stint in the halves?

| Four observations......
Collis is a big miss
We're light at half back
It would have been a bonus if Tautai was available
Odds are against us and we'll be second favorites....which is when we have a nack of causing an upset.

That's ok short term, but for the good of Wildie and Wakefield in the long run Wildie needs to pick a position and master it before swapping and shuffling him around.

Goulding is nowhere near SL standard and although Agar doesn't talk to me about selections I would be gobsmacked if he got a game - I reckon Agar would select himself first.
Ignore the name and you have as far as I've seen a nothing player - you may as well play Ben Shulver at 6 you'd fair no worse.
FWIW Kay is a far better proposition.
I pray Agar feels the same as me
Sorry boss, only going off what I've been told that Rich wants to give Goulding some first team around this time of the season. I do like Kaye I wonder why he hasn't been selected?

It's the centre position we need to cover, though, so why Cowling hasn't been called up into the squad I don't know. Goulding for me would be at best a bit of an Isaac John, and leave Smith looking after the young'un rather than being allowed to do what he does best. All based on limited observations, though, so I'll bow to the experts on this one.

I certainly wouldn't.
Both Kay & Cowling have been playing excellent rugby for the Don's this year. Kay had a good game at SO the other day in Cookes absence. Would be good to see a bit more of either tbh.

| The thing is though guys Kay and Cowling are not in the squad so no point complaining when they aren't in the 19 man named squad.

It's not a complaint so much as a wondering why. If Goulding plays, and plays a blinder, I'll be more than happy. Just can't see why this would be the case, given he only made the bench for Dewsbury, unless Glen was asked to hold him back?

Exactly. And with Goulding in the 19 wouldn't it be better to use a natural halfback than someone like Washbrook at 6?
