| 4TH bottom behind Widnes play him not LOAN him! We may see a improvement! Agar has friends and favourites. Stubborn. To use the word gaining experience when we loan him out is shocking its insulting everyones intelligence. Hope another SL club get him eventually and we can see why Agar needs to work on his personal skills like the legend that is JK!

| As has been posted in another thread. The rumour why Frankie isn't getting as much game time as expected is because he is 'cutting corners'. This may have been acceptable under JK, when we struggling for players. Now the squad has moved on. Frankie is probably one of those players who has bags of talent, but won't apply himself. Very frustrating for anybody to watch, more so his coach. If he is not prepared to put the same amount of effort in as everyone else, he shouldn't be picked. Think it's called discipline. Possibly why Annakin didn't get as much of a go last year as he should have done. He has trained well in pre season, playing by the club rules and is reaping the rewards.

| Thought this would get a few posts.
I trust Agar's judgement.
It's up to Frankie to make himself something. Others are taking his place with hard work.

| Whatever the real reason is, I don't think his face fits with Agar. Fev have got themselves a good forward.

| frankie is a decent player for a lower level team, and has the ability, and physical atributes to be a very good player...
something is missing... brain or heart.... or maybe courage?
dont think he will find it on loan at Fetherstone... as he hasn't found it in his (ample) opportunity in the first grade at Trinity.

| Always been impressed with Mariano whenever I've seen him play, big, strong & some good pace for a forward, also knows his way to the try line. Hope we go in for him if he's made available at the end of the season.

Ample opportunity do you go to the games hes played very well everytime hes been in a trinity shirt better than some of the tripe this year, but yet doesn't get a look in. Beyond a joke but we are doing well 4th from bottom. Cant beat salford at home , team of superstars. Who needs a excellent young fast British forward.

And if you'd bothered to turn up on Saturday you would have seen that we now have that in Molloy. Your "Superstar" had a chance to shine against a League 3 team on Saturday and aside from his try (which he took very well) and another couple of runs he was blowing out of his a*se for most of the game. Molloy did more work than Frankie did and looks to be glad of an opportunity to play. Frankie meanwhile has allegedly been "cutting corners" in training and therefore doesn't deserve the opprtunity of 1st team rugby.
I think a fit and in-form Mariano was\is\will be a fantastic player for any team, but at the minute he doesn't seem able or willing to get to that level for whatever reason and so can't get in the team. When he has got in the team he's done some good stuff but not enough to justify picking him ahead of Kirmond, Lauitiiti or Annakin and with 2 starting 2nd rowers and one on the bench where does he fit????
I hope he sees this as a chance to get some much needed game time and as a wake up call and that he comes back stronger and willing to fight for his place, but if not then so be it.

| This just might be the making of him if he gets regular game time who knows.
I do have to admit I find it a bit odd when Mellars gets in ahead of him.

Thats your opinion not mine however, as posted you didnt go on Saturday, you beat the drum about talent well with all the replacements in the team saturday your superstar didnt put up a super show in fact he was shadowed by many of the youg lads, its the right move for him to show he can get some form at Fev and it frees a potential place in the first team squad to give a developing player a go as oposed to a mid 20,s player who should be at his peak but clearly is a bus ride off given the flashes he has shown. Hes not consisent enogh isnt Frankie thats why there has not been a queue to sign him.

| There does seem to have been a bit of a character assassination of Mariano over the last few weeks, almost as if the supporters have been acclimatised to his eventual departure from the club. It’s funny for someone who has been cited as lazy and as one who ‘cuts corners’, why these traits didn’t become apparent in 2011 or 2012. For what’s worth I think he is a cracking player and hasn’t really had a sustained opportunity during Agars tenure other than the excellent finish to last year when he had a run of games. Anakin has stepped up which has put pressure on Mariano’s spot, but he should be in over Mellars.
Still the club have lost better players and ultimately its Agars decision which he will either live or die by. I don’t think the squad is strong enough to lose such a player, but if Molloy has overcome his injury problems by the reports from previous clubs he may fill that hole.

Follow him to Fev, neither of you are that greater loss IMHO though I'd prefer Frankie to return after his loan spell if possible.

Strange because I have not been a fan for some time and think he's a bit of a show pony at times, is that a character assassination or an opinion? I've read some real character assassinations on here most notably Paul Aiton isn't a no 9 springs to mind. Frankie has got of likely by comparison due to his imho undeserved cult status amongst some.
He's on loan he still has a chance to retrieve his Trinity

| That is a good point Vasty. He is on loan. He has every opportunity to prove himself with regular games.
My view is that as a running forward he could be as good as Andy Kelly was. Andy was intelligent and ran great lines. Clearly he understood the game more than most as he became a good coach too.
The difference is that you saw Kelly all the way through the game. He wasn't a work horse but he had all round skills. on top of his running talent.
Mariano frustrates me a bit because you notice him when he runs the ball at a gap and he has good players to give him the ball at the club but unfortunately, you ONLY notice him when he does the run. I don't notice him when the hard yards are needed and I don't notice him when we defend.
That's not to say he doesn't do it, but I don't see him.
If he could fix up that part of his game, he would be at St Helens or Warrington.

It's not so much supporters opinions, but people hearing whispers, I assume, from sources close to the club he's a poor trainer. He's OOC at the end of the season so barring a injury crisis I don't think he'll be back.
