| I love how adeybull has a picture on his username saying troll spray then comes over here and trolls his ass off! What a full weight ****!
Has he the shortest memory in history with all the stuff going down at his own manor?
Whilst this may be a storm in a teacup it does slightly tarnish the hard work done by AG and JE and even if the bill has been dealt with its not great PR for the

| "Wakefield are the second Super League club to be issued with a winding-up petition in the last 10 days" - that is the worrying bit for the game in general IMO and I don't think its coincidental. There could be quite a few more of these issued - it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

| An off season is just not an off season without the threat of a winding up order hanging over the club.
Sorry I have to agree with the posters who, even though this has been delt with, feel this will damage the perception of the club. A lot of hard work has gone on making this club look professional. I hope this 'oversight' does not undo all of that hard work.
If they knew it couldn't be stop perhaps the club would've been better owning up when the matter arised as a bit of damage control.

| I dont think there is any reason to be concerned, it appears to have been an oversight and HMRC have been paid. However the question is why/how was it missed? The Club has done a fantastic job in promoting itself and we were starting to be seen as one of the better run Club and Andrew Glover's running of the Club was looked upon as a model for other Club's. All that good work has been lost because of this. One step forward and two back I'm afraid.
Pity though that some people "trawl" the London Gazette looking for winding up orders. They would do better worrying about their own Clubs.
Anyway, stick with the Club, dispite this minor set back I think we still are going in the right direction.

| I gree - the club must have known and if they had come clean - i wouldn't have been panicking me pants off last night - damage limitation should have been what the club were aiming for.
Pleased it's sorted -so carry on the fantastic work already done.
WTID - together we are stronger.

| If it's a mistake; it's a serious one that is avoidable and causes great harm to the reputation of the club.
The comments don't necessarily stack up, that may be due to the brevity of the statement.

| As long as its paid - why worry ? A bit a damage done regarding its negativitity with the club looking to be moving forward now, other than that it looks like a mistake thats now been rectified.

| Not the point at all. Mistakes like this are damaging to the club, both in terms of attracting sponsors and supporters.
At national level this also makes attracting sponsors to the game look risky when you have two clubs in ten days facing winding up orders on the back of Hull KRs comments, Bradford and many other exampleas and rumours.
Well run business pay great attention to detail, mostly we get this right; but not on this occasion. Hopefully lessons will be learnt.

| Gutted about this. Genuinely thought these days were over, and so will our players and sponsors.
IF this could cause us so much damage, then why weren't we on top of it? It is, after all, HMRC and we know the power they hold!!!
I don't get the statement issued at all, nor the timing - coming AFTER the news has already broken.
Concerned - firstly about the PR damage and secondly about the back story as to why it happened!

My fear is there is more to it than meets the eye, something just doesn't ring true. And if there isn't then, given the recent past, the incompetence is both staggering and worrying. Maybe the clubs next investment needs to be in properly qualified professionals in the correct, vital, positions rather than using mates, ex players and cheerleaders to fill the gaps.
