Agar - “We’ve looked at three or four players in Australia and I’m hoping to get two if not three of them over, but it all depends on our quota and what British players we bring in. |

Thurling would be an instant fans favourite at Wakefield. I think he will provide something different more punch than you currently have upfront. I think whilst you have a solid frontrow you lack a player to get his nose through the line. Thurling will give you that.

in fairness, Smith could have been considered a Journeyman when he signed for us.
we have done ok out of journeymen in recent years

Smith
Collis
John
Southern
Lauititi....non Fed trained
Mellars has dispensation
So unless he is bringing in a player who is under 21 or he's getting rid of John as well as Southern, I can't see how he can bring 2-3 in.

There are a fair number of dual nationality players like Widdop out there, maybe it's one of them. But yep the math doesn't seem to work. |

As I put on another thread...
[iThink our quota/non-fed players are Southern, John, Smith, Aiton & Collis. Lauitiiti, Mellars & Tony were all off quota. Agar's quoted as hoping to bring 'two or three' of his overseas targets in. I guess we are trying to shift John as well as I can't see the other three going anywhere unless for some reason Collis is going.[/i
