Hopefully the stranger is not already going to the game
We've got a lot of strange people going to games already

| Starting to get d off with having to miss matches because sky pish around with game times... Especially when we stuck by Trinity during dark days of last year.
I'm sure we're not only Season ticketers who can't get to night matches because we live away, work away, have young kiddies, etc;
Does AG have any option to turn down such interference by Sky ( I assume there is a quota of games that each club have to screen, but beyond that?).
I ask as, whilst I Realise Sky own a piece of all our clubs, do we have to Kowtow to all their whims or is AG being tempted by a quick buck (assuming he realises a £ gain televising match)?

| With all these new folk coming (including the strangers) the place should be full and rocking. Who knows, if the newbies like what they see, we might even convert some new season ticket holders

We dont have a choice GRLA. Sky pump millions into SL and one of the downsides is that they get to decide which games are shown.
Yes, it can be a problem if you have other plans but, on the plus side, it gets us out to a wider audience and with the good stuff that we're playing at the moment, this can only be a good thing.
The most important thing, is that we get as many people down to BV, in person, to support the team and that folk dont stay in the pub and watch.
So anyone with the bring a friend voucher needs to find someone to come down to BV, you never know, they might even enjoy the game

| And we don't gain any extra tv income from the game being on sky.

Can't see it being the money as I believe we don't get anything for being on Sky over and above the standard handouts given to all clubs. As Sky pay the piper, they call the tune.

| We can't grumble about sky rescheduling out matches compared to other clubs I think we've only had 2 sky home matches this season. The rescheduling of the widnes match is in recognition of our recent good form and something we should be proud of and hopefully get use to. it's a small sacrifice we have to pay for supporting a successful club + night matches produce better atmosphere at belle Vue. Nar na na na nar Wakefield

| Thanks for clarifying TV fees situation; way of the world I guess! Hopefully my loss is someone's gain, as local folk who have been away for weekend may get to see a game they would have missed. May still get up if can juggle work stuff.
With business head on, guess season-ticket holders based out of county are £ insignificant in big picture & TV may draw more local interest.
Like the bring a friend idea ( Used mine already for Catalans game; Bruv- in-law enjoyed it, but he's still a closet Wino - beats me why?)
Enjoy

| For those who can't make it, it's a shame (I know I'd be gutted!!) but please; if you have a season ticket, try and pass it on to someone who may not ordinarily be going.
This could be a good way of introducing someone to the game/club who may go on to follow the club more frequently or even buy a season ticket.

As i was already away I've passed mine on to a mate. With the bring a friend for free ticket he came to his first RL game against Saints. Needless to say he enjoyed it and will be going to the Widnes game and possibly the Salford one too.
