| Quote: vastman "We've done that with Smith. Mathers is a tryer but to unreliable - he's lost us a few to many games for me. I'd live with him stopping but wouldn't be sad to see him go - unless he maintains his form for a few more games.
For me we probably need one more prop or a tackling machine S/R?
I also think we need another player with a kicking game, if Smith is out we are in trouble and Smith is not the greatest I've seen.
It's vital that whoever comes in fits in - that's the key for me.
For me personally and from what I have seen coming through the reserves, a tackling machine second row we already have with young Slater. I would like to see him given a shot, each time I have seen the reserves this lad has a great defensive game with the ability to control the ruck.

| Don't need to go mad IMO we have the makings of a competitive team. If we sign mathers and Sykes permanently and keep amor, I'd go for a big nasty prop, and possibly a 2nd rower. For me wouldn't be too disappointed if southern and mellors went. I also would like to see the likes of walshaw, annekin and Grayson given some 1st team exposure next year.

| It's ok saying get rid, but it's not us dipping into our pocket paying off 2 years of 2 contracts. I doubt this will happen. These guys signed to play, injuries and being played out of position have hindered how well we perceive them. The depth in the positions of experienced people will be vital to push the club on to the next step.

Fair point, however I'm sure there will be some turnover of playing staff. It's unrealistic to assume the squad will keep growing ever larger. Maybe some may leave by mutual consent in order to get more game time.

| I'd expect a few fringe players to leave and those on low full time contracts who RA feels do not bring enough to the party. I'd think 6/8 of the First team squad to leave, with dome of then having not played this season.

| Quote: Fritzys Mullet "Id like 2 props if Kyle stays or not along with another centre/winger. It will be interesting to see who leaves as im sure there are a couple who RA would like off his books to give himself more money to play with.
Am i right in thinking that the plan was to increase our spending next year with a view to spending upto the full cap by the final year of the franchise? Were any figures mentioned? Another 100 to 200k on top of this years squad should really push us into serious contention for the 8.'"
I agree and Agar went public a few months ago stating he wanted big additions to the front row and he wasn't talking about our hooker. Even if Amor stays we need two big props maybe O'Meley (if no concerns about his fitness) from Hull and Kopchak from Bradford if they're on their way to the championship?
Not enough genuine competition for the front row although I think Wilkes, Raleigh & Amor have overall done good jobs. I think Johnson has been up & down and James doesn't seem to have been good enough to get into the 17.

Well deserved - he's been the best prop on the park for our last three games.

| Raleigh has certainly upped the anti as the season has gone on.A lot of the fringe players will be let go of those think Tony a cert others being Wildie,Morton,Davey,Cowling,Kay,Spiers.Cant see Mellars going but might see Southern exit by mutual consent if its true the family cant settle and yes hes been played other positions but not shown anything above average for me in fact the opposite would say poor to average fits the bill. The team have got better as the season has gone on so should not need a lot for a better time next year.Would like to see us keep Sykes and in all honesty now we have Lee Smith we have a couple of backs who can cover any of the back positions so might just be a nasty forward will come our way.
