Listening to Radio Leeds on the way home yesterday they said something about 18 (?) players at Cas being out of contract at the end of the season. Not sure how true it is but this may be a catalyst for a major change. If Chase is devouring wages then getting shut could be a good chance to restructure the team from top to bottom.

If Millward moulds a team to his liking then they could be quite a competitive outfit in the next few years.

I dont really follow your logic there Wildshot.
With so many ooc at the end of next season they may end up starting from scratch again next season and too many new faces will take time to work.
It would be a shame if their form deteriorated

Yes it could well "take time to work" as you say, hence my comment "in the next few years".

If Millward gets the style and character of players he wants, like he did with what was available for Leigh, then he can seek to develop an open attacking rugby style side.

The out of contract players kind of forces the change in squad at a quicker pace.

He did it at Leigh in the lower league. He isn't going to be able to do that at Cas. Expectation is higher.
If they lose 17 starting players they will be in the same boat as Wakefield and Widnes were. It will take half a season to just get tuned in to passing and catching. They'll be shut within a year after losing every game.

I would imagine if Jones, Orr and Snitch call it a day we would bring in another 5 players to replace these 3 plus Ferres and McGoldrick.

I'm only referring to Radio Leeds last Sunday at about 5:30pm. I'm sure there'll be a podcast somewhere with their weekly RL round up. If Radio Leeds are incorrect then so be it. I think they may actually of mentioned it in the interview with Millward or just before/after.
